Dear General Manager Mr. Alexis Rodriguez,| |I am extremely disappointed about the performance of the hotel! I like to share with you my experience, from the check in until the checkout, 2 nights after.| |Before I leave Shenzhen, already received calls from the JW Marriott Hotel Zhengzhou, checking my living location and got their suggestions not to fly to Zhengzhou. Normally the hotel shall check if they can offer me kind service or help to go from the airport to downtown to the hotel! I know your answer already, hiding behind Covid-19 regulations from the local Government.| |When I arrive the hotel, there is now channel for members, not a big deal but other hotels doing here very well. When I ask if it possible to check if there is a suite available, I have more than thirty suite nights in my account, I got in seconds the answer: No, we do not have suite for you! The man even dint check, he even not makes the customer comfortable with the sentence like wait for a second, let me check for you! However, after a while he found a suite for me, it is a smoking room! Dear Mr. GM, do you aware of the regulations in China for Smoking in a hotel? It is a non-smoking policy! I ask the manager the same questions, he answer me, this here is Zhengzhou and Zhengshou is different from the rest of China! I was surprised, I did not know that! Summary of the check in: Disaster, unprofessional!| |The happy hour from the club executive floor relocated to the lobby area, nice arrangements and actual not a big problem. However, drinks and cocktails, for self-mixing, served, but not ice cubes or not enough glasses ort spoons for squirl your drink, white wine glasses are complete missing, everything you want you need to request to the staff there, how comes?| |During the exiting check-in, the front desk manager forgot to make the copy of the latest entry to China, so he troubles me, not a big deal actually but what’s makes me upset is his comment that he found out my room fees are much higher than the standard Chinese guest and he promised to do something to lower my room rate; results: nothing changes! I know we foreigner pay more, not only for hotels also for flights, that kindly treatment to foreigners already happens since years! That is the most annoying experience in the hotel managed by you dear General Manager Mr. Alexis Rodriguez; please do not write back to me if you push all those to Covid-19 as an excuse for your failures!| |Wish you a pleasant day, I will definitely not come back to your hotel, life is too short to get unpleasant experience twice in the same city!||Best regards Mr. Uwe Triebel|Marriot Titanium...

Read moreDecided to give this JW marriott a try and booked for a night's stay in this hotel. First have to say I arrived from Zhengzhou East railway station and it's quite far and had to take a didi. I know there is a metro station near the hotel but not exactly near, about a 700m-1km walk so location wise and accessibility is not really that good. To go to anywhere the best option is probably a didi. A note that the hotel staff at the lobby area do not allow taxis to even come near the entrance, seen them shouting at the taxi drivers to drive off so make sure choosing a didi ride don't pick the taxi option. I don't really like those hotels with 2 different sets of lift to take to the reception and then another one to the rooms. Checked in late at night, process was fast and smooth and got to my room pretty quickly. Room wise was okay, the shower area had this paper like drape where you had to stand by the mirror and press the button. It's not automatic you release your hands the drape stop moving. Said it was a lake facing room but was kinda cheated by the structures holding the LED lights blocking the lake view. Couldn't find the kettle so called for help. Waited 20 minutes and they came while I was in shower. Asked them to come back 5 minutes later they returned about am hour later where I was already asleep and heard knocking sounds but didn't get up to open the door. Woke up the next morning there was a pool of water under the toilet bowl. Not sure if there was a leak. If you stay there and want to eat cheap food you might have to order delivery. Minimal food options around, there is a "mall" below with a Burger King and Tim Hortons which was empty and Burger King not even opened at 9am. Building is nice at night with the LED lighting but I think that's all. Nothing much to venture around I think is more suitable for business people who have events at the exhibition halls. Decent facilities like gym and pool but didn't get to use it as had to check out early the next morning. Didn't like the lobby area by the reception as it was like a hollow chimney leading to the guest room levels. A lot of echoes can be heard while waiting for the lifts and also while at the area, there were a lot of people talking very loudly and shouting it just amplifies the sound and makes it uncomfortable to sit...
