I have to say this is probably one of the best Le Meridien properties I have stayed. The hotel is very accessible by metro, it has 2 exits B and E which are just like you will be able to see the hotel as you step out and it's probably a 1-2 minutes walk to the entrance. I arrived very early into Zhengzhou and then reached the hotel about 945am in the morning and they got an available room for me to check in. Check in was a breeze as done by Cici, very helpful and friendly staff by the check in desk and provided me information on getting around. Was very impressed with almost everything in the room. Very special layout. I could even find the bathroom then finally realized it was behind the TV! Kinda strange layout but felt very special and interesting for me. Unlike typical square or rectangular layout, this bathroom is more elongated. Very impressed with the facilities in the hotel. The lobby and the lounge already wowed me, then visited the gym and the pool, which is indoor and heated. Awesome jacuzzi in the toilet too, and the most crazy thing was that they have a running track! The stay was very enjoyable, a bit disappointed that was too short and didn't get a chance to use the facilities. A little negative was that there was hot water flask but no teabags. Also the aircon didn't seem to be working properly. Set it to 18 degrees and yet was sweating throughout the night. Seemed to be working for a while then switched off by itself. All in all a good hotel that I will strongly recommend. Think location is good and easy to get around with easy access to metro and...
Read moreI stayed here with my partner in the Le Meridien Suite on the 27th floor for a week. We liked the hotel a lot. The staff were always super friendly and professional- the men at the entrance were always helpful with carrying bags and opening doors which I have found can be really hit or miss in China. The hotel is a really cool design, everything seems purposeful. However, some of the decoration choices were strange. In the first floor bar everything was leather except one bizarre Lear plastic chair which seemed really out of place. Also, I tried to order a cocktail in the bar around noon and they couldn’t serve it because “the person who makes cocktails wasn’t working yet”. Found that kind of annoying- I wanted to try the Meriden mimosa but had to go with a coffee instead. ||The room was quite large and with great floor to ceiling windows with good automatic blinds. I didn’t love the decoration of the room, the felt like material of the sofa would not have been my choice but it was nice when we had a few friends over to chat. The bathroom was excellent. The bath tub is massive and the shower was also great. The rain fall shower head was the best I’ve used. It was pouring rain- lovely. ||The lounge was also excellent- breakfast was outstanding the staff always remembered how we liked our omelette and they made them for us every day. The view is nice too.||We also went to the gym / pool which was great. Lounge chairs everywhere at the pool and a surprising indoor running track...
Read moreI went to Zhengzhou to attend Li Ronghao's concert and chose this hotel, booking the Suite, room which had relatively new maintenance and a convenient location for transportation via taxi or subway.||Positives:||1. Praise for front desk check-in employee Judie, who was patient and attentive. Although we can see she is a bit nervous, she did a good job.|2. The room had a large floor-to-ceiling window, comfortable bedding, and overall was okay.|3. Housekeeping department did great job to make up room within 3 hours|4. The Chinese Restaurant was fully booked for lunch, but it is commendable that hotel guests can still have flexible arrangements and priority.|5. The Executive Lounge has a high location and the staff proactively greets guests.|6. The concierge is helpful with luggage.||Negatives:||1. The room's temperature control was not sensitive and the bathtub could not store water, making it unusable. The quality of the room's bath products was also no good.|2. Afternoon tea in the lounge ends at 4pm instead of 4:30pm.|3. The breakfast in the lounge is too simple compared to downstairs, but for privacy, we still chose to eat in the lounge.|4. The swimming pool had noisy children's swimming classes.|5. The soap changed during room cleaning was 30g instead of the 50g provided at check-in. There is no need to save costs in this aspect.|6. Although we booked a suite, there was no welcome amenity, which is somewhat...
