I booked the trip for 5 via the customer service online chat on the hotel’s own webpage. The suite I intended to book was full, so the staff recommended the VIP suite. It is not available via the online booking or other hotel booking sites, so lucky I checked with them directly. The VIP suite was two twin rooms set in a private yard with a private pool. You can request the pool to be filled any time. It gets drained and cleaned after you go to bed, and next morning you can have fresh spring water. ||||The room is a little dark and damp (poorly lit with no windows) but as long as the air conditioning is good, I have no complaints. After all, I didn't spent much of my waking hours in the room.||||Just outside of the wooden door is the hot spring area available to all guests, 24x7. Unlimited supply of clean towels and slippers, together with rubber bands (for long hair) and Ziploc bags (for small cameras and mobile phones) Of course like any other hot spring in China, you’re supposed to be in swimming suit. But we did have an extra private pool indoors to do whatever we like. Unlimited green tea, herbal tea and distilled water are available all over the place to remind you to replenish the water you loss to sweating. There’s a lot of fun stuff to do, most are included in your room charge. But some like the fish spa, sand baths and massage will need to pay extra. So always look for signs about payment. ;-) I paid attention to their cleaning schedules and it seemed all the pools were drained, scrubbed and refilled during some time of the day. (Mind you, the milk pool was filthy the evening I checked in, but in the next morning I saw it being scrubbed and refilled with fresh spring water.) So I am very happy with the hygiene here.||||The food is 24-hour-all-you-can-eat but so-so-chinese-country-food, and all meals included in the room charge. I didn’t had lunch and dinner in the hotel just because I'd got business to do in town. The late night snacks were fried rice, fried noodles, Chinese puddings etc as a buffet. The breakfast was strikingly similar, with the addition of instant coffee. There’s a noodle stall and a fruit juice stall in the hot spring area but these will need to pay extra. The restaurants were being renovated so hopefully more choices will come. ||||Another pain with this place is transportation. It is so much away from anywhere else, meaning that there is not much shopping and entertainment other than inside the hotel. The hotel does not provide shuttle bus, and did not call taxis for us. We need to take tricycles(RMB$10 each) from and to the bus terminal in Agile Estates. But if you do not have business to do in the neighboring towns, that shouldn’t bother you too much.||||Overall, this is the best hot spring experience I had in China. I will surely visit again, probably in...
