Holiday Inn Zhuhai City Center — Hotel in Zhuhai

Our stay at this hotel was truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warm smiles and outstanding service from every member of the team—whether at the concierge, front desk, or throughout the property. Everyone was genuinely helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home.||Before the trip, I contacted the hotel to confirm our booking and arrange a few services. Jay responded quickly and was incredibly helpful. He noticed a duplicate booking made through a third-party platform (Agoxx) and took immediate action to resolve the issue when it remained in the hotel system, ensuring we weren’t double charged. His efficiency and attentiveness were deeply appreciated.||It was also my mum’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel surprised her with a lovely birthday cake—such a thoughtful gesture that really made her day special.||The hotel is conveniently located, with a convenience store and Luckin Coffee on the ground floor, within the same building as some offices. The staff on duty at the ground floor (though I can't recall their names) were also incredibly thoughtful, constantly reminding us to keep warm as the weather was cold and windy during our visit. They even helped us communicate with our taxi driver—small acts that made a big difference.||Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable for all four of us. Breakfast offered a great variety, and my kids especially loved the tarts!||Huge thanks to Jay and his amazing team for making our stay such a memorable experience. New and very clean, friendly staff. Beds are very comfortable, not hard like a lot of beds in china. We love the layout of the bathroom too, with wash area outside of the bathroom, so convenient when you have a family of four all clamouring for the toilet and shower. 24 hr free laundry room was great for families as well. No cigarette smoke in the hallway or lifts. Robot delivering food was the stand out. Our kids loved conversing with it and getting our food delivered. We also got some drinks and fresh fruit as a welcome pack for being an IHG member. Now, a few things that could be improved. We had 4 people in our room and asked for towels and slippers to match on the first day. But everyday, after housekeeping, we only got 2 replacement towels and slippers and had to keep requesting extras. We were also surprised there was no service to call and reserve a taxi. We managed to fumble our way through wechat to call a ride but it was an unpleasant experience that could have been avoided. We would still highly recommend this hotel, just be aware you will need to hail your own taxi and wait for one to...
