RENAISSANCE ZHUHAI HOTEL — Hotel in Zhuhai

We have stayed in this hotel 3 times, booked another 3 nights checking in tomorrow, due to the convenience of being next to a new mall in zhuhai. As we normally travel with young and old, I always requested for connecting room for my senior parents. Was told by the reservations department that only Suite rooms and River View Twin rooms have connecting rooms available. So I have booked these rooms based on this information, emailed the hotel right away requesting for connecting room, with a follow up email 2 days leading to check-in. They said they will 'try' to arrange. Never once were they able to arrange a connecting room. They misled you to book the expensive room, turns out there is 1 connecting room for Suite and Twin. As we planned to check-in tmr for 3 nights, I emailed their GSM Rita early Nov for a connecting room request. She told me it's too early and asked me to msg her again before arrival. So I doubled checked with her today, and she told me the connecting room is taken as another guests requested for it yesterday! Sounds like it's my fault not to checking with her before the room is taken. She said right now they have basic double and Twin room connecting available, however as I booked the room thru trip.com, there is a penalty if I cancel now. So I'm stuck with an expensive Suite room, again, for the 3rd time, and no connecting room. Do not stay in this hotel if you're travelling with family looking for connecting rooms. Even rooms on the same floor seems difficult for them to arrange. We booked 3 rooms in Aug and they placed us all on different floors. Toilet for some rooms smelled of sewers. Hardware is good as hotel is quite new. But don't expect 5 star...

Let me share my recent stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Zhuhai. Walking into a Renaissance hotel, you naturally expect a certain level of grandeur, right? Unfortunately, my first impression of the lobby here didn’t quite measure up to those expectations—it was less impressive than I was hoping for. I booked a room on a whim, and I was a bit worried about what I had gotten myself into.That said, I have to hand it to the staff. They made the check-in and check-out process a walk in the park—efficient and polite as they come! It really set the tone for a smooth stay, and I appreciated that more than I can express. Now, let's get to the good stuff: the view from my room! It overlooked a lovely river scene, and I had a chaise longue right by the window, which became my favorite spot to sit and enjoy the night view. It was the perfect way to wind down and indulge in a bit of relaxation—a truly magical sight that satisfied my wanderlust fantasy.As for the room and bath, they met the standard but didn’t really stand out. Comfortable, yes, but nothing that wowed me. One more plus is that the hotel is attached to a shopping center, which is fantastic if you’re looking for places to shop or grab a bite to eat. I recently had the pleasure of staying here] and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations!From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the hotel's cleanliness. The lobby, rooms, and common areas were all spotless and well-maintained. The kids really enjoyed the kids play area. If intending to use the pool remember to bring swimming caps.The hotel's location was also perfect being connected to a major shopping complex. The surrounding area was safe and vibrant, with plenty of restaurants and shops to explore.But what really made our stay stand out was the exceptional service (shoutout to Kavin!). All staff were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met.And then there was the breakfast - wow! The spread was incredible, with a wide variety of fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and more. The quality was top-notch and the staff kept everything replenished and tidy.Overall, I highly recommend Renaissance Zhuhai to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay.
