Choosing to stay at Zhuhai Marriott Hotel Jinwan for our family’s midsummer trip to Zhuhai was the best decision of our vacation. From check-in to checkout, every detail reflected the professionalism and warmth of a high-end hotel, and Ms. Serena’s personalized care made our experience far exceed expectations. Before booking, I contacted Ms. Serena via the hotel’s official channel. Learning we traveled with a 2-year-old, she inquired about the child’s dietary needs and sleep habits, shared kids’ facility hours, and noted our request for a quiet floor. Upon our afternoon arrival, the doorman greeted us warmly and helped with luggage. In the lobby, Ms. Serena waited at the front desk: “I’ve finished check-in and upgraded you to a Central Lake-view room. I added a crib and mosquito repellent—everything your baby needs.” Her words made us feel at home instantly.Opening our room, the family was impressed. The 37㎡ space was well-arranged, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of Central Lake and Jinwan Art Center; sunset snapshots felt like postcards. Thoughtful details included a workspace for my tasks, a spacious walk-in closet, British-brand This Works toiletries, and kid-friendly tear-free body wash (arranged by Ms. Serena). A handwritten note from her read: “Huafa Mall has a baby food restaurant—I marked the address; let me know for reservations.” The mattress was perfectly firm, and our child fell asleep quickly.Dining was a highlight, enhanced by Ms. Serena’s thoughtfulness. At Zhuhai Kitchen (22nd floor) for breakfast, she’d told chefs to make unsalted porridge for our child. At Man Ho Chinese Restaurant, she reserved a window seat, had the “Wagyu Beef Char Siu with Aged Balsamic Vinegar” less sweet, and provided kid-safe tableware. The fish maw soup was rich (full of collagen), and the adjusted char siu was loved even by our picky child. For rooftop afternoon tea at The Lounge (6th floor), she brought baby-friendly fruit puree: “Enjoy your quiet time—let the little one eat first.” The care felt warmer than the sunset views. The hotel’s family facilities eased our worries, and Ms. Serena’s tips smoothed our itinerary. She reserved a Kids’ Club bubble party spot: “Come at 10 a.m. to avoid weekend crowds.” For the outdoor pool, she advised: “After 4 p.m., the sun is mild and water suitable for the baby” and prepared a float armband. Our child played happily in the clean 25m pool while we relaxed by the side. The 24-hour fitness center let me work out early, and Ms. Serena messaged: “The Kids’ Club staff will watch your baby closely.”The hotel’s location was convenient, and Ms. Serena made it better. For Zhuhai Space Center, she booked tickets and drew a “crowd-avoidance map” marking kid-friendly exhibits. For Huafa Mall (10-minute walk), she recommended “Yuhuo Zhongshan Crispy Grass Carp Hot Pot” and asked for a baby-friendly soup base. On departure, Ms. Serena waited with our lost baby toy: “I kept it safe—it’s the baby’s favorite.” She arranged a ride with a child seat, waving as we left: “Contact me next time—I’ll reserve your lake-view room.”This stay at Zhuhai Marriott Hotel Jinwan was delightful, thanks to its great service, details, and facilities. Ms. Serena turned us from guests to friends—she remembered every request, making our trip reassuring. Whether for family trips, business, or couples, this hotel fits all. We’ll stay here again in Zhuhai, book via Ms. Serena first, and recommend it to...

Read moreBreakfast is good, wide selection of asian and western treat. The custom noodle breakfast bar is nice too. M club happy hour is great aswell (who doesn't love free booze?) and the gym and pool nice too. Room service menu is pretty average.
However, my room was on level 21 (1 level below the main hotel restaurant the Zhuhai Kitchen) and I could hear when furniture and objects were being dragged around early in the morning from my room. My colleagues were on different floors and didn't have this issue lucky for them.
I also had a very poor experience with service on my last night. My booking was via the company that employs me. Originally I had 6 nights booked and on the 5th day I requested (via my company travel agent) to extend the booking 1 more day. The marriot concierge confirmed the booking on the same day.
On my last night I went to pay for my stay so I could leave early in the morning (I.e. went to pay earlier than I needed to, to make it more convenient for me and the hotel). It seems the hostess only charged me for the original 6 nights, neither of us noticed. I went to bed unbeknownst. I was rudely awoken at 130 in the morning by senior staff insisting I have to pay an additional deposit as I hadn't paid for an additional night. You would think that a 5 star hotel that frequently has business travellers would realise if they have a confirmation for an extra night from a guest that may not have paid for the extra night, they can clearly afford it and any payment discrepancies can wait until the morning. This really soured my experience here. Apart from this experience (and the noise) it was...
