We recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I must say, it was an exceptional experience that surpassed all our expectations. Nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of Antioquia's natural wonders, this hotel is truly a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable escape from the ordinary.

Upon arriving, we were immediately captivated by its idyllic setting. Surrounded by lush forests and bordered by a gently meandering river, the hotel's location is nothing short of magical. Their knowledge and enthusiasm to share the best of the areas attractions, whether it be hiking trails, wildlife encounters, horseback riding, exploring the caves, walking the river or cultural experiences, added an extra layer of joy to our trip.

One of the highlights of our stay was the great dining experience everyday at the hotel's restaurant. The chefs expertly crafted a culinary journey featuring dishes bursting with flavors. A Magical Stay at Hotel El Río in La Danta, Colombia

Our recent 5-night stay at Hotel El Río was truly magical. We were looking for a true jungle experience en ohhhh did we find it! We booked the ‘Guadua’ bamboo palapa for an immersive experience. Waking up to the tranquil sounds of the jungle, with monkeys playfully leaping in the trees near our palapa and the soothing river nearby, provided a magical start to each day.

The staff’s exceptional kindness made us feel truly welcome and well-cared-for; no request was too much. They care about the environment and try to make your stay as sustainable as possible. We enjoyed various activities, including a cave exploration with Luis, horseback riding with Samuel, a jungle hike with Willington and bird watching with Sebastian. Each adventure was both thrilling and breathtaking. We highly recommend doing multiple activities. For relaxing afterwards we booked some excellent massages with Luz, Paola and Catharina. We really enjoyed the food the kitchen crew prepared, especially the local cuisine dishes.

We arrived as strangers and departed feeling like family. We highly recommend Hotel El Río to anyone seeking an unforgettable nature experience.
