As I did yesterday, it’s a place I like so much, that I usually drive 2-3 hours from my home near Medellin, to have lunch, grab coffee and sit for some hours in their magical living room upstairs. There you can find old LPs and a turntable to play music, while you have a nice conversation and some fresh coffee.||The food is great, specially they’re famous beans and typical dishes from the region. The setting is quite something, with thousands of antiques set around the restaurant, which will take you at least 70-90 years back in time, and learn how this small town played an important role in the history of Colombia.||The hotel, like the rest of the building, is historical but comfortable. Don’t expect luxury features, but be 100% sure everything will be well-kept and in good shape. The staff went out of their way to make sure that everything was good for me. If you are looking for typical 5 star accommodation this is not for you, but if you want 5 star service, great price, and the most quaint hotel that I have been in this is definitely a keeper!
Not only is this a great hotel and restaurant, it is a certified museum by the Ministry of Colombia. You have to visit, it is one very incredible place. Fresh air, incredible people, beautiful mountains, and from what I have been told this place has the best avocados in the world. It and this hotel will make your trip here worth every penny...
