From the moment the tour began, we knew we were in for a treat. The guide was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about the history of chocolate farming, which added a rich layer to the experience. As we walked through the lush plantation, the air was thick with the sweet aroma of cacao.

The demonstration of chocolate creation was both enlightening and engaging. Seeing the transformation from bean to bar was like watching alchemy in action. The hands-on approach allowed us to be part of the process, making the experience truly immersive.

But the highlight of the tour had to be the raw chocolate exfoliation session. It was a unique blend of indulgence and tradition, leaving our skin feeling rejuvenated. The natural spring and waterfall bath that followed was nothing short of magical, a serene moment that we’ll cherish forever.

Sampling the chocolate was, of course, the cherry on top. Each piece was a testament to the care and expertise that went into its making. And the opportunity to create our own chocolate bar? Simply divine. We crafted a concoction of flavors that we never thought possible, which made for the perfect souvenir.

In conclusion, this tour is a must for any chocolate lover. It’s an educational, sensory, and gastronomic adventure that delights on all levels. We left with a deeper appreciation for chocolate and memories that will...

HIGHLY RECOMMEND- for chocolate lovers and bird watchers !! My boyfriend and I stayed for a couple of days and enjoyed it a lot. They even provided us with a delicious breakfast and hot cacao in the mornings (vegan options possible). The host was lovely and gave us a tour of his farm and the process of making chocolate (best chocolate of my life). It is not only a great place to get to know Colombia and the process of chocolate but to learn about sustainable agriculture and tourism. They have about 170 bird species only on their property to observe - so make sure to wake up early and see some endemic species. They also have natural pools on their property where you can go for nightly swims in between stars...

If you have read that this is one of the best eco tourism activity, you are spot on.

Jhon, Alexandra and their adorable little girl make this an unforgettable experience! I learnt about the whole process of chocolate making right from the ripened fruit to talking a custom made chocolate home.

There is a nice little hike through the farm. It ends in a 30 minute waterfall bathing break with chocolate skin treatment. So don't forget to plan to bring bathing suits and change of clothes.

A wonderful family running a wonderful farm. Wish them the best...

Amazing tour in small cacao production one hour away from Guatepe ! You not only get a story about cacao, get to understand all the steps, make your own chocolate… eat some fruit with chocolate and bring a bar home. but there is also a tour in the finca and a chocolate scrub in a natural pool. Pro tip: We asked the owners and they arranged / put us in touch with a private transport and it worked wonders.

The tour at Finca el Toche was our best experience not only in San Rafael, but probably in Colombia at all! Witness the process of making the cacao - from the seed to the final result was astonishing! And the farm itself is a true paradise! Those swimming pools in the nature, the cacao on the skin, the birds flying around - memorable ♥️ Highly recommend!!!
