They even provided us with a delicious breakfast and hot cacao in the mornings (vegan options possible). The host was lovely and gave us a tour of his farm and the process of making chocolate (best chocolate of my life). It is not only a great place to get to know Colombia and the process of chocolate but to learn about sustainable agriculture and tourism. They have about 170 bird species only on their property to observe - so make sure to wake up early and see some endemic species. Jhon, Alexandra and their adorable little girl make this an unforgettable experience! I learnt about the whole process of chocolate making right from the ripened fruit to talking a custom made chocolate home.
There is a nice little hike through the farm. It ends in a 30 minute waterfall bathing break with chocolate skin treatment. So don't forget to plan to bring bathing suits and change of clothes.
