I was absolutely elated to find this hotel while traveling around Columbia by bicycle. I originally had a room booked for a night across the main square at Hotel Plaza Garibaldi. However, after arriving there, they did not allow me to keep my bicycle at the property. So, I had to cancel that reservation and came here to Hotel 50 Suites. Immediately the vibe was completely different. The staff I first met was super helpful and the manager of the hotel, Omar, is so accommodating. He speaks English, Spanish and French really well, checked me in efficiently for a fair price AND had no problem letting me bring my bike to my room with me for safe keeping. The rooms are spacious, even with a bicycle, and are well decorated. The beds are comfy and the shower provided probably the best hot shower I've had after two months traveling in Colombia. I intended to stay one night, but ended up staying 4 nights as I had to bring my bike into a local bike shop for maintenance (over a holiday period). Omar provided local hiking and food recommendations and always made me feel right at home. His staff did my laundry for a very fair price and did one of the best cleaning jobs I have ever seen at a hotel for my room. Finally, the WiFi is reliable and there is free, hot coffee in the lobby all morning! With limited hotel and other stay options in Caldas, I highly recommend choosing Hotel 50 Suites... Yes, they have 50 rooms at the property!!!

Heel fijn modern hotel. Zeer sfeervol ingerichte en verlichte kamers. De douche was een van de beste die we in 11 maanden Zuid-Amerika hebben gehad: heet en geweldige waterdruk. De dame bij de receptie spreekt goed Engels. Fietsvriendelijk: onze fietsen konden binnen op de eerste verdieping veilig worden gestald. De wifi is helaas gemiddeld. Wat ons echter heeft verbaasd is dat er geen kaken is om over je heen te leggen: nog nooit eerder meegemaakt (wel een deken maar dat is totaal overbodig, oftewel veel te warm in een kamer zonder raam).
