Hotel Murat — Hotel in Antioquia

Came across this hotel on a price comparison website, and had originally wantwd to stay here for 3 nights, however, commitments in Medelin kept us nearer to the big cit||||Getting there was a trek, I had thought that due to it looking modern there'd be a modern road to get there, nope! Single track, sometimes unmade roads led us to the hotel, a modern glass and steel affair beside the lake [reservoir]. ||Fabulous location, a proper get away from it all romantic retreat.||||Booked a garden room by credit card and on arrival was offered an upgrade paid for in cash, always dodgy that, but when that is roughly £20GBP... just go with the flow. So, got a room with balcony overlooking the lake with glass walls to 2 aspects. Not the biggest room of the trip but certainly the most spectacular view.||||Hotel had a neat smallish swimming pool with an infinity type edge to one side, fire pit, and a working steam room, which we thoroughly enjoyed.||||We'd had a large lunch so didn't partake in an evening meal here, which was shame as it looked like they served "proper" chips, like mother used to make.||||Had a Pina colada which was possibly the thickest we've ever tried, very nice.||||Excellent staff, but serving hours limited to 8pm!!||||OK breakfast.||||Oh how I wish we could have stayed here a few days, as it also offered boat trips...

L'hôtel a tout misé sur la vue (merveilleuse), la piscine et le jacuzzi en oubliant les détails qui font qu'un hôtel est bien perçu ou non, très confortable ou non.

La chambre ne possède pas de rangements suffisants pour deux personnes et sans porte manteau dans la penderie. La douche n'est pas suffisamment étanche, un filet d'eau vient vous mouiller les pieds. Le réfrigérateur est bruyant. Une baie vitrée n'est pas sécurisée ce qui peut poser problème. Une des baies vitrées n'est pas raccordée au mur, il y a donc un espace significatif qui laisse entrer l'air extérieur : quand il y a du vent ou des moustiques c'est très gênant. Avec une couverture de l'hôtel j'ai colmaté cette ouverture pour la nuit. C'est un hôtel qui loue une chambre dont les finitions de construction ne sont pas terminées !

L'hôtel est assez bruyant dans les parties communes.

Et il y a des curiosités notamment lorsque le restaurant est soit disant fermé pour avaries et que ce même jour un groupe de personnes bruyantes et probablement alcoolisées passe plusieurs heures pour profiter du restaurant....c'est irrespectueux pour ses clients et donne une très mauvaise image de l'hôtellerie Colombienne.

Pour ma part je n'y mettrai plus...
