Very wonderful location for resting and escaping the stressful cities of Bogotá or Medellin. The lodge is not directly in Bahia Solano like it seems on Google, but rather on a very isolated beach next by in the North, called Mecana. To Mecana they organize a boat from the harbor in Bahia which costs around 80k. Since you can either buy the food per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner; 80k p.P.) either in advance to the host per transfer or in cash directly to the wonderful and super kind employee Yussi, you should bring some cash, if you also want to do some things at Mecana. What is really worth it, is the trip through the botanic garden (primary rainforest) with very old trees in the deep jungle. Service is very good, since the housekeeper Yussi takes really care of you. She prepares really nice food and can also do vegetable, in case you eat this way. Otherwise you’ll get a catch of the day or whatsoever. Also her dog chocolate is a really nice Amigo running around and taking care and “protecting” you, even if you do not have anything to fear there. Yussi speaks mainly Spanish but we also managed to do / get everything we want to. The beach is very natural still with warm water, dark sand and really...
Read more😊: This really is a hidden paradise, the hut is between jungle and ocean far from town, you only reach it by boat (extra cost), no wifi, no phone signal no way to buy anything, no atm, be aware of that and bring all you need with you. They do have enough filter water and if you are lucky you can get internet at a wifi point 6 minutes walk away,. nature there is incredible! We saw plancton, 1000s of crabs, birds, flowers and on the jungle tour monkeys, tucans and slots. You can only eat at the hut, which is no problem because Yussi cooks delicious and with best quality, she is the best host you can imagine! The best food we had on all colombian coast and she took care of a veggie and a gluten free person. We loved our stay with Yussi and so did our kids. 😢: We loved almost everything about this place but there is no wifi which makes it difficult to organize your trip back and we missed some information ahead about...
