Finca Hotel Los Arrayanes — Hotel in Betania

My husband and I stayed here with our two daughters and my mom. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. Breathtaking, lush grounds that include a large swimming pool, a small farm, a butterfly garden,a coffee processing plant, and lots of citrus trees that you can literally pick fruit from. ||The views from the grounds as well as from the mountain while on the coffee tour are magical. The fresh eggs were delicious with yolks brighter and more tasty than any "pastured eggs" you can get in the states. ||The meals that come with your stay are delicous and the staff was able to accomadate my mom's vegan diet as well as my girls' somewhat picky taste. ||The bungalow we stayed in had two rooms and plenty of space for the 5 of us to sleep. ||I had a hard time contacting the finca to book my stay via email but a call was fine and Nuria reserved my stay without any deposit. Nuria also arranged for pick up from Medellin for us for a about $100 USD round trip. The driver was very knowledgeable about the area and took us to a great roadside restaurant for lunch. He was also able to find an alternate route back when the road was closed due to falling rock. ||Once we were at the finca they also arranged transportation to nearby Jardin. ||One thing to note is they do not take card payments. We were not prepared for that at the end of our stay but they were kind and trusting enough to let us send a wire transfer once we got back to the states. ||Would definitely recommend a stay here and only hope it doesn't get overrun...

My husband, three children and I stayed for two days this past December and it was an AMAZING experience! It is a peaceful, pristine retreat with beautiful nature and wonderful accommodations to make sure the stay is comfortable. Everything from the DELICIOUS meals they prepared, to the beautiful relaxing pool, the cabana with refreshments, to the extremely hospitable staff waiting to serve your every whim, it was an outstanding experience that my family and I will treasure forever. I will never forget on the day we were leaving, my 9 year old son woke at 6am (which he never does on his own lol) to run out the door and play like I remember doing when I was a little girl, but children these days never get to experience that sort of autonomy. An hour later I received a knock on the door- I opened to see the most beautiful sight ever...my son, completely sweaty and his clothes covered in dirt, with the biggest smile I've ever seen on his face and a glass of mandarin juice in his hand. He said, "Mommy, I climbed the mandarin tree and picked 7 mandarins, then I squeezed them to make this juice for you." That morning, the staff also served us scrambled eggs, which my son had collected from the hen's coupe just after he had prepared the juice. Night time bonfire, music and dancing, socializing with the other guests at the hotel, it was all just perfect. Lifelong memories that we will treasure forever! I would recommend to everyone to...
