Hotel San Julián S.A.S — Hotel in Buga

I have never had to write a review for a Hotel before, however this hotel was so BAD that I would not EVER want anyone to go through what they made me go through. I made the reservation about a month prior to my arrival with my wife's family. to begin they called me a week in advanced and asked me to put in a deposit, however I told them I had booked with booking.com that granted me the option to pay when I arrived at the property. when I arrived at the property from a long trip from Canada they informed me that the two rooms for my family I had booked were "broken" and that they could not allocate us in the two private rooms we had booked. the truth was that the rooms were not broken but they just gave the rooms to other guests that arrived before us. they came back and offered us ONE SINGLE room from my whole family or we could go somewhere else to look for a hotel at night. I could not believe what I was hearing. the receptionist was so unprofessional that could not even put me through the manager while they were talking on the phone with each other and the manager did not want to speak or did not even give us an apology. they called another hotel for us further away and we left. when we arrived at the other hotel the prices were not the same and were so much higher than what Hotel San Julian promised us. so there we where, my family was tired, exhausted, upset and feeling stranded in a town that they did not know and the Hotel San Julian just wanting to get rid of us and their problem due their unprofessional ways of doing business and not keeping the reservation I had made. they even had the audacity to tell the booking.com that we did not show up so that they get reimbursed of the night they had not given us the reservation we made, so that I would get charged for the night. dishonest manager and unprofessional staff. We had a fantastic stay, the beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom was clean. During our three day stay we saw a crew working on the walls and the cleaning crew always on top of maintaining the halls clean and appealing. The same can be said about the pool.
