Hostel La Casa Mono cuco — Hotel in Córdoba

Initially, I was going to stay 2 days in this hostel, but at the end I spend 6 days in this beautiful place. I came from Cartagena and needed some escaping from the busy town. I stayed in Dora Hostel, the other hostel of MonoCuco, the owner. He suggested me to go to San Antero, and I didn't regret it for 1 second. ||MonoCuco, the owner, and Yuli make you feel at home on holidays. The atmosphere is great, the music is fantastic and the environment too.||||The hostel : Close to the beach (15min walking). The hostel offers a kitchen to cook, but they make also great breakfast. The rooms are clean and nice, and the hostel has hammocks, tv, sofa, ... to make you feel at home and relax. They offer a lot of tours, to the Mangroves, the Volcano, to the village, to Lorica,... I also went diving, which was splendid (the best diving in the Colombian Caraibes according to me ; and, I'm a dive instructor :)). They also offer bikes, which are great to hang out in the surroundings, or go quicker to the beach.||||San Antero : smaller and less touristic than the surrounding Covenas and Tolu. Also, there is more nature. And that's what I like.||||I definitely recommed...

San Antero ist next to the tourism destinations of Tolu and Corvinas. However it is by far much calmer and offers nice beaches. Hostal Casa del Mono Cuco is owned by a Columbian/German couple which is the perfect mixture regarding reliable services and a warm and friendly welcome. The hosts offer various tours like boat rides to the close by mangroves or to Rio Sinu which are both lovely. Above this there is much more to see in the near surrounding. The hostal is very well kept, very clean and has a great kitchen as well as a big common area. In the city centre of San Antero you will find some decent shops, grocery stores and everything else which you might need for self-catering purposes. Hola a todos los interesados en este Lugar les cuento que así como a nosotros estoy segura que a ustedes tambien les va a encantar, sorprender y superar sus expectativas. Era la primera vez que decidiamos hospedarnos en un Hostal y desde el primer día la comunicación con el Dueño, POCHOLO, fue excelente. Con èl cuadras tu transporte desde el aeropuerto de Monteria al hostal, la habitación grandísima, con aire acondicionado, baño privado y todo en el hostal te hace sentir como en casa. Fuimos a una reserva que queda a pocos metros del hostal donde no solo vimos, sino cargamos cocodrilos y caimanes de diferentes edades, paseamos en lancha por manglares, estuvimos en la mitad del mar caribe en una casa flotante deleitandonos con la vista, y el mejor ceviche que he probado, acompañado por una cerveza heladisima, en ese lugar pudimos disfrutar del mar pues el agua era tranquila y muy segura hasta para los más pequeños de la familia ¡¡¡¡ es asombroso, no vez tierra y sin embargo el agua te da a la rodilla o cintura :D muy cerca a ese lugar hay un "criadero" de ostras donde puedes comer todas las ostras que quieras por el dinero que quieras, pues el señor encargado no te cobra, pero es prudente darle una buena propina. buceamos con un excelente MASTERPADI Español llamado Guillermo, yo tenìa terror y el logro llevarme 5 metros bajo agua. Si quieres ver artesanias y comprar economisimas cosas para llevar a tu familia te recomiendo ir a Tuchín un pueblo indigena "los Zinues" donde hacen con cañafrecha toda clase de cositas hermosas y muy economicas. Pocholo te llevara al lugar ideal donde comprar. Puedes jugar una tarde rana mientras te tomas unas costeñitas, puedes alquilar ciclas y dar una vuelta por la zona la cual es muy segura. Solo fuimos 3 días y nos falto mucho por hacer y definitivamente vamos a volver. Gracias, Pocholo, Evelin, y Guillermo.
