Hotel Mío Boutique — Hotel in Cúcuta

I can’t speak highly enough about Hotel Mío! We stayed here for 12 days last month when visiting Cúcuta. We had a two-bed room in the original part of the building with the circular windows. It had a great view of the park across the street. The room was nice and big, with a great AC and nice bathroom. And the rooftop pool is stunning! Every staff member was also super nice and helpful. Especially the manager, Maria Del Mar. ||||We had the breakfast delivered to the room most mornings and it was great. Eggs, arepas and a delicious chicken sandwich. The Winners bar downstairs was also great. Ask for a gin basil smash or a mojito....

There were several items that fell short of my expectations.

1. No hot water.
2. Only 2 towels for a whole double room. No washcloths
3. Only two small bars of soap for the room. No shampoo or conditioner.

And a personal preference, the mattresses are EXTREMELY firm. I prefer the softer side. For me it felt like a plank of wood.
