Finca Hotel El Descanso — Hotel in Calarcá

My boyfriend and I needed to get away for a night, so we decided to stay at Finca el Descanso Parque del Cafe - and wow!. It has a pool, walking spaces, beautiful garden, pool tables, sapo. We mostly hung out in the living room area which has hammocks and a few tables listening to music, drinking wine and swimming in the pool. Hot water. New beds and bed sheets. I had a few hesitations due to previous reviews but when I contacted the owner he explained to us how they had recently bought sheets and renovated most of the main house - we took a risk and it paid off with our own private paradise!!!! ||Long story short, it was a great mid-week getaway to disconnect from work demands, spend time in a quiet place out in nature and come back feeling refreshed and ready to go again! ||This would be a great place to have a big family reunion or even wedding because of the big open grassy spaces, social areas and of course lodging for like 30 people. There is the issue of it being 25 minutes from the highway on an unpaved road. We paid a jeep to take us there from La Tebaida, it cost only 50,000 cop - two moto-taxis would have cost 60,000!! If you do go there in a car, simply drive slow and be patient - it seems farther upon arrival than...

La experiencia fue desastrosa, la cocina del lugar en muy mal estado y por ello habitada por cucarachas, la piscina completamente sucia, La mesa de billar estaba dañada igual que el horno asador entonces no es posible hacer actividades más que ir a dormir, ante todo este tipo de falencias le comunicamos al administrador y a su esposa quienes viven al lado de la casa y la respuesta del señor fué de una grosería increíble y sin ánimo de solucionar; solicitamos comunicación con el propietario pero la respuesta del administrador fue que el dueño tampoco estaba en la capacidad de solucionar debido a que no se encontraba en las instalaciones. Mi familia y yo sentimos que ha sido la peor de las experiencias en un alquiler, tanto así que la idea inicial era hospedarnos más días pero al ver este panorama solo pasamos una noche y eso porqué llegamos en horas de la noche y no podíamos salir a buscar otro lugar aún perdiendo lo del depósito, porque la comodidad de estar en un lugar limpio y ordenado no tiene precio pero pues como éramos un grupo familiar se tornaba dispendioso a esa hora salir a buscar en una zona que no conocemos ya que viajábamos...

This place is far from any towns but this is the nice thing about it. It is surrounded by coffee plantations and has lovely gardens and a swimming pool. Rooms are basic but clean and have sitting areas outside to relax. This place has transport and they can arrange trips to local places. Some members of staff also...
