La Huerta Hotel - Hotel en el Lago Calima — Hotel in Calima

I would call this stay at La Huerta Hotel pretty awful. Certainly not 4 star level, probably not even 2 star level. First room we received had a broken toilet, then we were separated into two rooms, neither of the balcony doors locked. Bathroom dirty, rooms smell, rooms need a paint job, water gets out of the shower on the bathroom floor and both me and my husband almost slipped and fell. Overall maintenance of the property is poor. Front Desk staff although apologetic, don't seem sincere, all they are good at is charging you for every little thing, even a bottle of water. Restaurant was ok, service slow, some food items pretty good at dinner. Breakfast not very tasty. And to top it all off there was a group at the hotel that started screaming at 5.30am without any respect for other customers, and then again the next night they were screaming again until 2pm the following night. And the hotel staff did not care. I had to go to the reception at 1am at night to complain. But again, what the hotel is good at is charging you lots of money for zero quality. Oh and I forgot- they have no hot water in the room. I stayed at a small hostel a few days prior for a tenth of the price this place charges and they figured how to provide hot water. If you are looking for a getting away from a busy life style of a city and looking forward for an encounter with pure nature and nurturing your body with real food coming directly from the soil to table then la HUerta is the perfect place To go! We had an incredible experience in this hotel; honestly words can't describe the level of relaxation this place provides for you ! The hotel is gorgeous and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did the tour of the organic farm and it was an amazing experience ; just knowing and learning the techniques that are applied and getting the knowledge of how they produced their organic food! We learned to make our own |Sauerkraut picking an organic cabbage from the soul. Cheese and butter are delicious and we got obsessed 😋 with the Mora salsa in our breakfast. Food is very unique and delicious and the fact that you know everything is organic is a super plus!! You wake up with the sound of so many variety of beatiful birds ! You got captivated by the flowers and  plant species : avocados trees, mandarins, plantains all sort of vegetables and herbs.| While in la huerta you could go paddle boat 🛶 in the calima lake. Very fun experience!| Looking forward to come back for a longer period of time! |We highly recommend...

Positivo: el paisaje es maravilloso Negativo: El hotel tiene potencial, pero: Piscina y jacuzzi extremadamente pequeña para la capacidad del hotel (100 personas) Entregan la habitación sin implementos necesarios justificándose en protocolos de bioseguridad 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ (No ponen jabón, ni shampoo en la ducha específicamente y no comprendo que tiene que ver esto con bioseguridad). Además, incoherentes porque varias personas de servicio no usan tapabocas. El inodoro del baño no desagua adecuadamente . Cortinas rotas, asquerosamente sucia y con un olor insoportable. Solicitamos cambio de habitación y no fue posible. Sin embargo, prometieron ir y cambiar la cortina. Pasaron 3 horas y regresé nuevamente a solicitarles una solución porque era muy desagradable el olor y el aspecto de las cortinas. La respuesta fue: que pena, yo le dije que cambiaría las cortinas pero no tenemos más. Lo que podría hacer es quitarlas y lavarlas. En serio? 3 horas después y no me buscaron para informar? Me enojé mucho y a los 15 mn después aproximadamente, entraron dos personas del servicio y evidentemente percibieron de inmediato el olor tan espantoso. Retiraron la cortina y nunca regresaron a instalarla después de lavada. Habitación sin toallas, se demoran en entregarlas (3 horas). Adicionalmente, huelen muy mal, a viejo, a humedad. Las ventanas no pueden abrirse para que pase el olor ya que se meten muchos bichos. Baño social de la piscina se inunda y devuelve aguas negras generando un olor extremadamente desagradable en zonas comunes. Piscina no climatizada como prometieron a 28 grados centígrados y Jacuzzi hirviendo. Comida demasiado costosa y en pequeña proporción. Además, limitadas opciones de consumo en la carta. No permiten utilizar el horno microondas argumentando que no se deben ingresar alimentos. Asombroso recibir una Hamburguesa por $28.000 y resultó ser una “MIni hamburguesa” WiFi funciona con limitaciones, en la habitación no llega bien la señal. Garrapatas en las zonas, requieren controlar este aspecto ya que al permitir mascotas, exponen la salud de los animalitos. Checkout a las 12 pero después de esto, no permiten el uso de zonas húmedas. No hay protocolo sanitario para uso de la piscina. Aunque la infraestructura es linda, parece que no existe una administración eficaz que garantice el mantenimiento de muchos espacios tanto de zonas comunes como de habitaciones.

Por último, si vas de sábado a domingo, no te animes a realizar el tour o caminata que ellos proponen porque el recorrido termina después de 12 y si no has hecho el checkout, te cobran un adicional por cada hora transcurrida.

Conclusión: Por el valor pagado ($350.000), se puede optar por un mejor hotel que garanticen una estadía más cómoda...
