We had an incredible stay at Johan’s place. The cabin is beautiful, cosy, and the views are spectacular. It feels very private, and the accommodation has everything you need. Johan was one of the best hosts I’ve ever had—extremely helpful and accommodating. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable, even collecting us from the town and working around our needs. It’s ideally located—only a 15-minute drive from Jardín—and offers a lovely contrast to the town. You’re surrounded by stunning scenery and feel at one with nature. There’s also a lovely balcony with plenty of space. The bed is super comfortable, and there’s lots of room inside. I’m really looking forward to staying...

I want to wholeheartedly thank the hostel owner and his entire family. My original plan was to stay one night, but I ended up staying two because my phone broke, which caused me major practical problems and a lot of emotional stress. From the first moment, I felt like this family took me under their wing. They said, "Our house is your house." They helped me get a new phone, helped me travel safely, arranged everything for me, and last but not least, they were so kind in preparing breakfast and dinner for me. When I think about how welcoming and helpful Colombians are, I think first of this family. With them, you are 100% safe and well taken care of. And if they ever come to the Netherlands, I will welcome them into my home. In addition to that experience, I also loved the room I stayed in. It had everything I needed and looked cozy. And, most importantly, outside the room is a hammock with an incredible view of Jardin. Mi plan original era quedarme una noche, pero terminé quedándome dos porque se me rompió el teléfono, lo que me causó grandes problemas prácticos y mucho estrés emocional. Desde el primer momento sentí que esta familia me había acogido bajo su protección. Dijeron: "nuestra casa es tu casa". Me ayudaron a conseguir un teléfono nuevo, me ayudaron a viajar con seguridad, organizaron todo para mí y, por último, pero no menos importante, fueron muy amables al prepararme el desayuno y la cena. Cuando pienso en lo acogedores y serviciales que son los colombianos, pienso primero en esta familia. Con ellos estás 100% seguro y bien cuidado. Y si alguna vez vienen a Holanda, los recibiré en mi casa. Además de esa experiencia, también me encantó la habitación en la que me alojé. Tenía todo lo que necesitaba y se veía acogedora. Este lugar me cautivó desde el primer minuto. Al principio dudé por su ubicación fuera del pueblo de Jardín, pero no lo hagas tú: esta maravillosa familia (Johan y sus papás Ángela y Darío) hará todo lo posible para que te sientas en casa y puedas trasladarte fácilmente al pueblo cuando lo necesites.

Si buscas algo más que un viaje, una experiencia auténtica, ve a Montecafé. Las vistas son espectaculares, el café que cultivan es delicioso, y despertar con esa privacidad, el canto de los pájaros, las noches junto a la hoguera y el valle rodeado de plantaciones de banano... no tienen precio.
