Hospedaje Rural Monte Abi — Hotel in Chaguaní

We spend three days at the end of December with my pregnant wife and two kids. This is a family run 4 bedroom house with a spectacular view over the valley. Super friendly people who take you out on hiking trips /visits to nearby towns. We had an incident though which had a big impact on our trip. Our second night three of us got really sick by food poisoning which lasted 2 days for my pregnant wife .. Probably due to the water which comes from the mountain and is purified by the owners themselves. The reaction of the owner was sub par..they basically blamed us for taking in too many fruits. I have been traveling to Latam for many years and love trying out every local dish and have never encountered anything like this... Needless to say that, while we were worried about the health of my wife, we were not waiting for an argument about 'who done it'.. Also note that they cannot arrange for medical help to come to the place so in case of an emergency you will have to drive some 1.5 hours through the middle of nowhere to the nearest town. After the argument I must say that the family did everything to help out and get medical advice through telephone and get the necessary medicine available. Could have been a...

Amazing place with one of the best views I have seen so far in my life. Cosy and warm atmosphere, the stuff it's an amazing family who is always there when you need them to answer you any doubt or fix any problem as needed. No matters from where you are coming from and which could be your next destination I just can say that the experience which can live in side the peaceful and quite nature will make you apresiate much more life and good people around.
