We went to Charala (yes, the name of the town is Charala, apparently a deformation of the original name, Chalala) to visit the Cotton museum (Museo del Lienzo de la Tierra de Charala) and stayed in this lovely, comfortable little hotel. $25 USD per night for a double room. Nice garden, friendly cats, which I must say I appreciated as I miss my cats when I travel. :-) The people were not fake-friendly, they were just pleasant and helpful....
