Posada Turística Chachita — Hotel in Chocó

Located at the center of the natural park "Ensenada de Utría", This place is magical, I went with a group of friends in the middle of august, in the humpwhale breeding season. We could see the humpback whales passing by from the beach every morning, One day dolphins came to the beach and swim with us. One big sea turtle came by night and put her eggs on the sand. It has two long tidal beaches, with green esmerald waters, with waterfall of fresh water coming from the jungle just 100 meters from the sea. One of the best starring skies I have ever seen, and when is cloudy and is not full moon, the waves glow green at night with bioluminescence. it also has the "Sampichí" river ending up just 25 meters from the cabin you sleep; a river without any human population in all its path. I was just amazed every momento of my trip!...fresh delicious food (fish, platains and other local food) cooked by "Chachita", a warm and helpful owner, in an exquisite tradional way....a recomendation for anyone that wants to be in touch...

No hay palabras suficientes para describir mi experiencia durante mi estadía en la posada de Chachita. La ubicación es realmente única, bordada por la selva virgen, el mar, y el importantísimo ecosistema de manglares conservado por Chachita y su familia. En la playa en frente de la cabañas se puede observar el fenómeno de la marea de sizigia, alta y baja, lo que la hace un lugar muy especial y mágico. Al llegar a la posada de inmediato te sientes bienvenida y en familia, la calidez de Chachita, Ciro, Ana Maria, Victor, Don Mochito y la comunidad de Pangui la llevaré en mi corazón siempre. La comida estuvo siempre fresca y exquisita tambien!

Ya que la posada está ubicada en el corregimiento más cercano a Nuqui, tuve la posibilidad de hacer una variedad de actividades guiadas como recorridos en kayak a manglares y rios, caminatas en la playa olímpica, y demás. Sin embargo, Pangui está repleto aventuras de naturaleza y siempre hay algo diferente para conocer, como caminatas por la selva virgen, cerros, manglares, y playas, visitas al río y experiencias culturales. La experiencia de conservación de manglares fue imperdible durante mi estadía.

There are not enough words to describe my experience during my stay at Chachita's. The location is truly unique, bordered by jungle, the sea, and the very important mangrove ecosystem preserved by Chachita and her family. On the beach in front of the cabins you can observe the phenomenon of the syzigy tide, which makes it a very special and magical place. When you arrive at the posada you immediately feel welcomed and as part of the family. I will always carry the warmth of Chachita, Ciro, Ana Maria, Victor, Don Mochito and the Pangui community in my heart. Also, the food was always fresh and delicious!

Since the posada is located in the town closest to Nuqui, I had the opportunity to do a variety of guided activities such as kayaking through mangroves and rivers, walks on the Olimpica beach, and more. However, Pangui is full of nature adventures and there is always something different to discover, such as walks through the virgin jungle, hills, mangroves, and beaches, visits to the river, and cultural experiences. The mangrove conservation experience was a must...

Nuestra experiencia en la posada fue excelente. Chachita estuvo muy pendiente antes y durante el viaje. Cuando llegamos nos recibieron como si estuviéramos llegando a nuestra propia casa, todos en la familia son muy queridos y atentos; mis papás y yo concluimos que lo más especial del viaje fue la convivencia con la familia de Chachita. Además de lo especiales que son, nos parece que todos están muy preparados para recibir a los turistas, son muy conscientes de la importancia del respeto y el cuidado del medio ambiente, por lo que ofrecen planes de acuerdo a esa filosofía. Nos gustó el involucramiento comunitario que ha ido generando Chachita para las diferentes experiencias y actividades que ofrece, porque todas estas fueron guiadas o realizadas por personas de la comunidad.
