GHL Style Hotel Bogotá Occidente — Hotel in Cota

The location was s great, specially if you have a concert in Coliseo live. The room was nice and comfortable, however there was a major issue with the bathroom door, it got stuck every time we tried to use it and the day of our check out the door just crashed all over me cutting my skin and leaving me with (luckily) mostly superficial wounds all over my arms, hands, legs and feet. The staff did come to our room to check everything out and a kind member of the staff helped clean out the wounds and remove the small pieces of glass in my skin.

They did change our room and offered medical service, but the other room had the same issue where the bathroom door got stuck (talking to other friends that stayed at the hotel they mentioned their doors had the same issue and that they also were afraid of using them, so they left them fully open).

As a cherry on top a member of the staff said to us that “we didn’t have to worry, they wouldn’t make any charges for the door” as if I intentionally wanted to hurt myself with it… I will give a two star for service, because the staff member that took care of my wounds was very attentive and kind, but I came back home very disappointed...

Good, but there is an irritating issue!

The hotel location is great to avoid the traffic jams entering Bogotá. The service is great and the staff is always helpful. Food is okay, it is better than the usual food they give in the hotels.

However, there is a major flaw for people that value rest: the GYM's sound-bar… whoever has a phone can put music on it and usually they bash it pretty hard all nights! It is irritating, you can hear it from your room, let alone go into the actual gym and try to work out with someone else’s music out loud.

If they can get rid of the sound-bar (who in his right mind don’t use headphones when going to the gym) I would give it 4.5 stars. Otherwise, is a 3 star hotel with noisy people and no regards for your well deserved (and...

We were here for a week and have absolutely zero complaints! The staff is friendly and helpful and any service you could possibly need is available. They have laundry, transportation, a restaurant, room service, comfortable rooms, and are in a little plaza so there’s even a grocery store close by for anything you could need. If you need to go anywhere, you can tell the front desk in advance and a shuttle will take you anywhere and pick you up for a very reasonable price.
