Just the perfect weeding and weekend with friends and family!!!!||We celebrate our weeding in Hacienda Normandia. It was perfect!!! Near to the nature, away from all the noise and smog from Bogotá, and big enough to have family and friends together. And enjoy a wonderful weekend. The personal helped us every minute to make our time on the Hacienda unforgettable!! They will help you to organize everything for your event, food, decoration, documents, music, and photograph. What is also good, you don’t have to get the whole package in case you have friends that will help you with a part ||We spent the whole weekend there and didn’t need to leave the Hacienda for nothing. Food is delicious and they have a big variety to select from. Also the “patio” and the space behind the house are well illuminated and are big. If sunny is very nice to take a sunbath. If it rains they have a very cosy living room, with fireplace. ||Antique decoration fits perfect with the Hacienda colonial style.||Only two rooms have toilet on the rooms, the other ones need to use two communal toilets, but it is not too bad.||In case you want to order something to eat that they don’t have you can always order to some stores on the town, they will bring it to the...

The place is perfectly well kept by the owner and manager Catalina who was particularly kind and friendly. She welcomed us with tea and coffee and offered to light the fire in the living room just for the two of us. It felt like staying in a friend's country house. She showed us the horses and other animals at the farm and went with us for a walk around. The place is like a small museum, full of family things kept for generations! Breakfast was delicious (with a lovely homemade blackberry jam. There is wifi and a powerful hot water shower which felt great with the chilly weather of the morning. Highly...
Read moreWe stayed overnight while travelling between Villa de Leyva and the salt cathedral in Zipaquira. It is a beautiful old farmhouse with a garden courtyard, dining room and lounge with fireplace. Everything feels authentic and the owners have a long history on the farm. We enjoyed taking a walk through the countryside and exploring the working farm - horses, sheep, cows (and calves), and the garden. It was great seeing this Colombian way of life. Public transportation is super easy and the owners are happy to help with directions. Highly recommended if you want to get out of town and see some of the...
