From the beginning of our 4 night stay over the New Year holiday until the end, it was a perfect stay! Guy, Luz Beatrix and their staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone has an enjoyable stay. This was evident from the moment we contacted them to find out more about the property and the individual accomodations and throughout the booking process. He answered all our numerous questions graciously and sent us extra photos of the property to help guide our decision. Prior to arrival, Guy sent a very clear step by step e-brochure with photos on how to arrive to the property as the location is off the beaten path (SUV is recommended). Guy had advised that it is easy to get lost if you rely solely on Google Maps or Waze and we trusted his directions. Needless to say we arrived with no problems at all and we were happy to be welcomed by Guy and Luz, their staff and their beautiful dogs! ||||We arranged to have lunch shortly after arrival. It was a delicious meal of beef bourguignon (Guy's family recipe from France), potatoes, bread, salad and a great bottle of wine, Luz used to own a restaurant in Bogota and she is a fabulous chef! Guy served us and ensured every detail was attended to. It was apparent from the start that they are fabulous hosts as others have raved about!||||The bungalows are a wonderful, private retreat with beautiful views of the greenery and mountain surroundings. The bed is super comfortable and we slept like babies! The recent addition of kitchens and living area to each of the stand alone bungalows adds extra spae and independence for each guest and is stocked with the all the necessary kitchenware and staples including delicious coffee and teas. The wifi is excellent and the first night we watched a Netflix movie. Since we are in the mountains, insects co-habitate the space but nothing that bites (e.g. mosquitos) are around given the temperate weather. Also, the mosquito netting keep everything out of the sleeping space. We were there during a cold/rainy spell so bring warm clothes for the evenings especially if you tend to get cold. The mornings and early afternoon were pleasantly warm and partly sunny. In the late afternoon we tended to get rain so we took advantage of the outdoors earlier in the day. ||||Breakfast was plentiful and included a variety of delicious home made breads, tropical fruit, eggs (to prepare how you wish), coffee and juice. It was a great way to start each day. One of the highlights each day was going on a nature walk on the mountain roads each day with Gut and Bo, two of the owners dogs, who were as excited as us to get out each day and explore. They were our trusted companions as we navigated the surrounding hills and beautiful panaromic views in the area. We grew to love them and I think the feeling was mutual. :) We were looking forward to a hike to the Cascada del Chupal but given the recent rain storms, it wasn't possible. Also, we had chosen to get a driver to bring us to the property rather than rent a car so we weren't able to drive there either! :( Next time we will rent a car and drive ourselves as we now know that the roads to get there are in good shape.||||We highly recommend Lodges La Nuit if you want to get away from it all and just relax, unwind and recharge. Guy and Luz Beatrix will make you feel at home and when we left we knew we had friends that we hope to...
Read moreStaying at Guy's resort was an experience far beyond the typical hotel visit—it truly felt like a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, Guy's warmth and hospitality shone through. He was not only attentive to our needs but also went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. One of the highlights of our visit was the culinary experience; Guy cooked an incredible meal for us, featuring beef slow-cooked in wine that was absolutely delectable. His skill and passion for cooking were evident in every bite.
The resort itself offered an exclusive, almost jungle-like atmosphere that made us feel like we were in our own secluded paradise. Nestled in a remote area surrounded by stunning natural beauty, it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The design of the resort complimented this tropical setting beautifully, with thoughtful touches that blended seamlessly with the environment to enhance the overall experience.
Overall, our stay at Guy's resort was unforgettable. It was not just the gorgeous setting or the delicious food that made it so special, but the feeling of being welcomed into a home. Guy's friendly demeanor and dedication to his guests' happiness truly set this resort apart. For anyone looking for a unique, intimate getaway that combines the comfort of a home stay with the luxury of a resort, Guy's place is the...
Read moreWhat a wonderful place near Bogota. We stayed at Le Nuit to celebrate my wife’s birthday and it was just fantastic. The hotel is just about two hours from the capital, well spend a bit longer on Friday, just getting out of the city. The highway is great until La Vega, then the road gets a bit smaller but noting that to worry about, at least when there isn’t rain. The hotel is just a jewel. 4 cabins, cottage style, nicely equipped and fully aligned with the beauty of the site and its environment. Guy and Luz are wonderful hosts. She’s a professional cook and Guy’s an amazing hostess. They delighted us since the beginning .... starting with a delicious breakfast and following with small details until a amazing dinner. The place’s for you to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Going for walks or just enjoy a nice chat with Guy, Luz or Jorgito (the butler and guide). They treated us so well that, at some point, I felt that I was invited to Guy & Luz’s home and they wanted us to enjoy every corner of their place. I’ll definite recommend this small hotel to anyone that want to break the crazy...
