KAU HOTEL — Hotel in Cundinamarca

We stayed at the Kau Hotel during our time in La Mesa for our adoption. The staff was amazing from the moment we stepped foot on the property. We were greeted warmly with a fruity drink and staff quickly got us checked in to our room. Several staff members assisted us with our bags and ensured we were acquainted well with our room and the offerings of the hotel. ||This is a quaint little hotel with 6-8 rooms. During our stay the staff became like family and made us all feel at home during a time that was stressful. We were traveling during a pandemic in a country that we knew very little of the language and trying to bond as a new family.||During our time at Kau we enjoyed the pool (nice and warm) and the game area. The restaurant had excellent food and beverage options. The hotel is located near the small town center of La Mesa and the hotel has a taxi driver that was wonderful. ||The hospitality at this hotel was the best I have ever experienced and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They even made us a Thanksgiving feast on Thanksgiving day because they knew many of the people at the hotel...

We had a wonderful stay at Kau during our adoption! It’s an absolutely beautiful boutique hotel conveniently located in town. It’s just a short walk down to the town square with restaurants, shops and other things to do. For a quiet day in, the game room and pool provided lots of entertainment. The staff was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Our time there fell during Thanksgiving in the US, so their team made a special breakfast with some of the iconic Thanksgiving flavors and personalized cards for the families. It was so special! Another one of the biggest perks was being able to connect with other adoptive families during our stay. It made the time waiting much easier and was so much fun!
