Hilltop Palomino — Hotel in Dibulla

We stayed at Hilltop Palomino for 1 night. We arrived without booking, as we were looking for an accommodation. The owner welcomed us, she was extremely friendly, and gave us a room for the night. The place is brilliant: massive swimming pool, the room has AC and the bed was very comfortable. You have plenty of options for food around the hotel, and we went out for breakfast and dinner as the hotel couldn’t do meals as they were just reopening for the season. The bus to Santa Marta is picking you up/dropped us on the main road, 3 minute walk from the hotel. The room was clean, friendly staff, good price … we would come back...

Avoid this place. Organization is a big mess. Random people sitting at the bar who have no idea what is going on. Room was dirty with a whole variety of insects crawling around, from cockroaches in the shower to a whole ant colony near the bed and also crawling in the bed.

If you still decide to go, at least avoid the laundry service. They lost some stuff and everything still smells. Which did not seem to bother them in the slightest when we asked them about this.

En Marzo de 2025 nos alojamos en el hostal Hilltop en Palomino. CERO RECOMENDADO. Primero el aseo en general es bastante deficiente, la piscina estaba muy sucia y se veía claramente que no le hacían limpieza hacía mucho tiempo, los bordes de la loza estaban negros, las almohadas están rellenas con un material que claramente no es algodón y son extremadamente incómodas, el baño no tiene cabina por lo que el agua de la ducha inundaba todo hasta la parte del lavamanos y el sanitario, las personas a cargo no están pendientes de secar el piso y hay que estar pidiéndoles que se hagan cargo de esa situación, hay niños jugando y gritando constantemente por todo el hostal especialmente en el área de la piscina (al parecer familiares de la persona a cargo del alojamiento) Aparte en la habitación habían 3 turistas franceses que llegaron ebrios y uno de ellos vomitó todo el baño y aún así el personal no hizo aseo de la habitación cuando llegamos esa noche más tarde nos encontramos con una habitación donde era imposible dormir por el olor. Teníamos reserva para dos noches pero definitivamente no pudimos quedarnos por la falta de aseo y atención. Definitivamente es por mucho, el peor hostal en el que nos hemos quedado cuando viajamos. No entiendo como en páginas como Booking tiene una puntuación de 8.0 Al parecer el personal que había antes si estaba pendiente de todo, pero es claro que actualmente la atención básica al usuario es...
