Booked this place for one night and very glad it was just one. We arrived to a gate and waited 45 minutes to have someone open the gate. Then we went up a road that only a tiny part is paved the rest is not. The whole way up is super dangerous and very likely to have car damage due to the big rocks you gotta drive over. If it rains is even more dangerous. We finally arrived and were greeted by this kid who explained everything. I asked him to book us a car for the morning to ensure we could get out and he said he would. Then for dinner I asked about the menu and if he could help us order to which he gave me a WhatsApp number and told me to order myself. When we went to sleep they were drilling and working on one of the tents and it was super loud so messaged the guy and asked if that was going to be all night, he said he’d let the workers know and finally stopped 15 minutes later at 10:15 pm and it kicked off again at 07:00 am.
The jacuzzi had a cover but it seemed like it had never been cleaned. The bed was actually comfortable and we did ask for extra blankets which took like an hr to arrive. At the time of check out messaged the boy that greeted us in regards to our ride and he said he had just let it pass the gate and to wait. After waiting 50 minutes some guy showed up to bring construction parts and I had to ask him to please take us down because they boy basically lied and left us stranded. Clearly the owner is more worried about making money than ensuring you enjoy your stay and ensure that it is properly managed and safe to get to.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY...
Read moreThis place is beautiful with amazing views. But thats pretty much all there is to it. We arrived later and had no warning about how muddy the ride up would be - luckily we made it up but beware of the road conditions. As it is up in the mountains, we knew it would rain often but the bubbles weren't fully sealed- our tent floor was soaked. The hot tub is uncovered, and after using it for about an hour it turned off and did not turn back on until the next morning. We tried to reach the worker we were given the contact of and he did not respond for almost 2 hours. Also, we ordered food delivery as there is no food (not even water or coffee) offered at the glamping. It was about 10pm and pouring when our food delivery arrived - we could not let him in through the main gate because the worker would not respond to our messages or calls "his phone died" - the nice man delivering our food was soaked and had to wait about 20 mins before we could get someone to open the gate for him. The breakfast provided to us the next morning (which was kind of expensive for Colombia) was horrible. How do you find bad coffee in Colombia??!! I don't know but they have it. We only spent one night here and I am so glad - it was a disaster and the furthest thing...
Read moreThe staff were very friendly and the view is definitely work it! Go for the more expensive option to get the hot tub (spa) with beautiful colour lights, the highest camping location and best view.
There was a gas fire and barbecue seating area with dry places to sit, even after rain. They have restaurant delivery services and the pizza was absolutely delicious! The bed inside the tent was comfortable, towels were provided but bring a lighter and other camping supplies.
We did have the difficulty of not being able to completely close the tent no matter how hard we tried. No rain got in, but the body warmth attracted many mosquitos and despite covering our bodies in spray it’s hard to sleep with 20+ mosquitos in the tent. There was also a territorial bird in the day and night with a nearby nest that sounded like a stranger approaching the campsite in the night. We slept after sunrise and not during the night.
The road going up the mountain to get there is shocking with rocks and the taxi got stuck more than once and the car likely a little scratched up. The road needs major rework.
But it’s an experience well worth it and a good review for...
