I truly do not understand how the other reviews have such a high rating, I’m simply astonished. First off the host of the place. His name is Eduardo, from the other reviews, they say he is super kind, great chef, etc., I’m here to tell you, it was the exact opposite. When I gave him my passport, he assumed I was Arab and proceeded to laugh hysterically like a clown, no problem with the Arab part but then the laughing ?? moving on the room, had a spider on the wall and on the floor, which I was so tired that I just killed and didn’t even say anything, that’s not even the worst part in the middle of nowhere with beautiful landscape, they have the TV on full blast with speakers from their makeshift restaurant and it’s a Monday night at 11 PM. Impossible to get a good nights sleep before the airport in the morning with the dog that everyone loves that apparently loves to also bark all night for absolutely nothing, combined with the cold shower that had inconsistent flow, the false advertisement of having a shuttle and being forced to have Eduardo tell me he needs to set his alarm so he can wake up and call the taxi which oh by the way let me tell you he never did. If you’re looking for a quiet place for a one night stay, definitely look elsewhere. If you’re looking to go somewhere in the middle of the day and enjoy the scenery I’m sure it’s a nice place. You’ve...
Read moreIf I could wrap my review of Hotel Marrokos in a warm embrace, I would, because that's precisely the feeling you get from this hidden gem. From the moment you step foot onto the impeccably landscaped grounds, it's as if time slows down and the world whispers, "Relax, you're in good hands."
Peaceful doesn't even begin to describe it. The beautifully appointed grounds are a sight to behold and are abundant with flowers and other vegetation that attract the hummingbirds and butterflies galore.
But what truly sets Hotel Marrokos apart is its staff. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that instantly puts you at ease. The staff here aren't just employees; they're like family, and they treat every guest with the same level of care and attention. Just incredible.
It's as if the staff anticipates your every need before you even realize it yourself. It's that kind of attentiveness that makes Hotel Marrokos feel like a home away from home.
I can't recommend this place enough. I would not hesitate to...
Read moreWhen my husband and I arrived in Medellin after a long delay in Miami, we found that our original hotel had cancelled our reservation because we were late and rebooked our room. After a few minutes of panicking followed by trying to explain our situation in extremely limited Spanish to an airport employee, who was able to put us in touch with the owner of Marrokos who immediately accommodated us. We were greeted by his adorable little dog and the room was clean, spacious and exactly what we needed. We awoke the next morning refreshed and enjoyed a nice breakfast, playtime with the puppy and lounging in the hammocks before heading into Medellin. The owner even drove us to the next town to catch our bus! I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you need a place close to the airport. What could have been a very stressful start to our honeymoon ended up being a...
