Hacienda Calucayma — Hotel in Ibagué

My wife and I stayed here on Saturday night to relax after a tough work week and boy did we do so!!! We had been here a few times before for their day pass but had always wanted to stay the night. The pools is gorgeous, clean and has a beautiful view. There are 3 day beds (get there early to reserve one!) and plenty of Sun lounges, possibly lacking shaded areas if you are not lucky enough to get a day bed. || ||Andrea & Marie were super attentive & friendly. Shame they don't offer cocktails or juices because they could have made a lot of money off me over those 2 days! The rooms are large and spacious and the bed is super comfortable, there is also a decent sized fridge and they don´t stop you from bringing and consuming your own beverages which is reasonable considering they only offer beer, water & some soft drinks in the bar. The food is delicious and massive servings. They don´t offer dinner (have a later lunch and you won´t need anything!) but you can bring snacks & also order in something in the evenings. People mentioned in other reviews that there were lots of mosquitos (didn't get one bite) and they heat of the rooms at night. We had a room with air conditioning and had to turn it off while we slept but it was great during the day to escape the heat. Miriam the owner was there on the Sunday and made an effort to greet all guests and make sure they were having a nice time.||||The only downsides for us were the lack of cocktails or fresh juices (only the house limonada which was delicious but the only option) and for me being an Eco Warrior all the plastic - salt came in little plastic packets as did sauces and breakfast jams, straws already in the glasses etc but this is not uncommon in Colombia. Don't recommend this place for a reason. They have a good pool and a beautiful place, though the owners are really rood and they promise lots of stuff during the booking process that are not real at all. We went there with an other couple of friends, European friends who went there because of of recommendation, they were traveling with a 3 years old toddler, the hotel told us it was not a problem, they will put an extra bed for him, all the solution they gave us once we were there was to put a sofa´s cushion on the floor, not even a real mattress. Then they also told us that there are hot water in the rooms, cause I specifically asked since I need to avoid cold water for medical reasons, and apparently it was a lie, they just told us that precisely it was broken the day before our arrival but an employee told it was not true and there is no hot water at all. Rooms were dirty, with death mosquitos sticked to the WHITE blackout and broken windows, On our check out, we tried to reach the owner who was not receptive at all and was completely rood and shouted us that money was not a problem for her and didn't need it so she would refund it too us, and when we tried to explain her that was not the issue she just vanished while screaming. ||||Its a pity for me since my friend had chosen the Estelar hotel better than this one and I convinced her to went to CALUCAYMA because it was a country boutique type hotel.||The cherry on the top was that today I wrote some comment on their Instagram account telling about the experience, the owner who introduced herself there, told me she didn't knew anything about what happened and when I told her I had the text messages with her and that I knew she knew she decided to erase my comments and block me from...

We came by with my husband and my 3 year old. We specified we were coming with a kid. We arrived to no bed for him. They made part of the sofa the bed in the floor. Food was ok, breakfast was terrible only option of eggs, and its very hard to have someone take your order. you have no idea what the menu offer because there is no menu and nobody ever at the bar. After 6 pm the hotel dies, no service, no kitchen no reception NOTHING, and there is no food. The outskirts are very sketchy, we went in the car at night looking for something to eat for my kid and I felt very scared. Its not a place you can just come and reflax because of this issue.
