Oasis Hostal Restaurante — Hotel in La Guajira

I stood 2 nights at Oasis Hostal. ||PROS: Since my arrival I was welcomed very nicely and offered refreshment juice troughout my stay as it was very hot. The hostel is very nice and clean and rooms fanned which helps to sleep better. I personally wasnt bothered by the noise outside from the local bars and traffic. Although I was staying at room #1 which is closest to the entrance, it wasnt as annoying as i thought its gonna be. Barely heard anything. Breakfast is very nice and definitely adds some extra value for the money. Also other food when purchased. Beach is about 1km away but I didnt mind walking (motortaxi options). Also i liked the convenience as if you need to travel further, you just literally exit the hostel and catch the bus from in front of it, so no long backpack carrying.||CONS: Only one bathroom to share between 3 dorms. They have some extra showers and toilets outside but they are not as private so good to take shower when wearing your swimsuit as house next to the hostel has windows facing the showers. Also the only bathroom they have gets extremely dirty very quick and is not cleaned as often as should be because the staff is busy catering the people waiting their food.|Another thing, no open kitchen so you cant store nor prepare your own food which can be annoying for price conscious travellers. You are allowed to cook but once the restaurant is closed, so from 10pm. And last a little annoying thing was the lockers that you have to pay for. Luckily the hostel is pretty safe although none of the dorm doors locks and guests from outside can enter the hostel for bathroom.||Overall I can't complain and hostel stuff was very helpful, always smiling and easy to talk to. Its a wonderful family-run hostel in the center of Palomino. I stayed for three nights and really enjoyed the place: the price was supercheap and included a delicious breakfast, the rooms were spacious and clean. The terrace of the hostel is a public restaurant at the same time so you can order delicious food also for lunch and dinner and you should definetly try the natural juices! Yes the hostel is on the main street but I didnt notice any noise in the night at all, as Palomino is a very small village. The beach is just a 10 minute walk away. This hostel has a good price for the area including a decent breakfast. They have an on sight restaurant and are located on the main road. There is traffic noise but that's expected. The worst part is that the bars and stores next door play such loud music all day/night (starting at around noon until after 1am) that you can hardly hear what other people say and going to sleep early is almost impossible unless noise doesn't bother you.
