Spent a week here working remotely (WiFi was excellent. Electricity went out for 3 min twice during the week. Not bad at all for solar!) was able to do zoom calls, download large files etc.
My partner spent the week learning to kitesurf. Michael, the teacher, was excellent according to my boyfriend. Also a fun chat at Palaa.
Ivan, the guy who runs the day to day, was super attentive and helpful. Always there to help and good recommendations.
Food was great, Beatrice and the other woman working were very kind. Good was always prepared fresh.
The cabana was very comfortable and cleaned every day. Even the beach in front of the lodge is kept in top shape by the landscaper.

I was especially surprised that despite being in such a natural setting, I had absolutely no issues with mosquitoes! The menu is outstanding, featuring fresh, locally sourced seafood full of flavor.

Read moreWe had such a great time at Palaa Lodge. We stayed 9 nights, we were on a Kitesurf trip and Palaa provided the peace & tranquility we needed in between our sessions. After your copious breakfast you are set for the day! Coktails are greats and well prepared by Ivan who has been extremely helpful throughout our stay. Always a smile and a nice word to make the day joyful. We will come back, and truly recommend it. The location is at the end of Mayapo which makes it very quiet, and by walking by the beach you are close to any other bars & restaurants...
