This place is one of a kind. Jorge and his son David (both the owners) run this place and I truly mean it when I say that we felt right at home. This people have built the place with their own hands and the love and care shows. We were entertained every day with their 4 dogs, which are the sweetes creatures ever! They even came with us for a long walk to the river. Lastly as they make the tours themselves, I found them to be the best priced place for foreigners (as the others seem to inflate the prices). This hostal is the best I have ever stayed at. Super affordable. Jorge and his son David do a fantastic job making sure you feel at home and safe. They pick you up and drop you off at the airport, they organized my tours of Cristalitos y Cano Cristales, they made me a homemade breakfast every morning and lunch to bring with me, and just were overall great and friendly hosts. The dogs and cat were super friendly as well and hung out with me when I relaxed on the hammocks. Even got to make friends with a group of monkeys that like to visit each morning during breakfast. Clean spacious rooms with big Windows, quiet neighbourhood but close to centre. The provided service of David and his father Jorge are excellent.They arrange very nice personalised tours because there is a lot to discover and to do. Very nice atmosphere and the best barbequefacilities in town. I felt realy at home and I can recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy their stay in Lamacarena.
