I stayed here with my girlfriend in March 2018 for 2 nights. We booked last minute and really didn't know what to expect, but were very pleasantly surprised - it remains one of our fondest memories of 2 months in Colombia.||||The place itself is amazing, they have built a cabana on top of a small hill (getting all the benefits of 'las brisas') overlooking their beautiful hilly farm, with views across vast banana plantations and the sea beyond in one direction, and to the sierras in the other - stunning to say the very least. They have also built a swimming pool in the most incredible position, had to be seen to be believed! Sitting out and watching the bats flying down to drink from it at dusk will stay with me for a long time.||||The family (Maria, Arturo, and their daughter Carolina) were truly lovely hosts. They live in another house nearby but use the kitchen below the cabana during the day/eve. Maria cooked us a delicious breakfast each morning (fresh cheese from their herd included) and prepared great pescado frito for cena on request. Maria was so sweet and helped us practice our limited Spanish, whilst Arturo was happy (they insisted!) to come collect us from a beach bar on his moto where we'd been drinking that eve.||||We went on a hike with Arturo and Carolina (for a small fee) to jump in some waterfalls in the foothills of the Sierra one day. Amazing place, followed by tubing back down the Rio Guachaca. Carolina is adorable and Arturo a lovely/funny bloke. Highly recommend doing this!!||||I don't write many trip advisor reviews but felt compelled to do so here, they are just starting out and deserve many more guests! It's a few miles walk from the beach, but don't let that put you off - a way nicer and more authentic caribe experience than staying in a tacky beach hostel at costeno etc.||||¡Gracias por su hospitalidad Maria, Arturo y Carolina! Amamos tu lugar....

We are a French couple, in a 1year trip and stayed 4 nights with Maria and Arturo. It was our best expérience in Colombia: Atmosphere : the family is so welcoming and warm. You feel at home really. -Location is great : 15mn by bus to Tayrona Park (2000$), 45mn walking distance to Costeno Beach. As it is in the mountains and far from other hostels in the beach, it is more quiet and peaceful . The view is amazing. Food : we loved the homemade breakfast from Maria (every day différent from pancakes to empanadas to arepas + plate of fruits + cafe the) . Lunch and dinner are well cooked by Maria from 13 000cop (veggie option) to 16 000cop (fish or chicken )
Beds: very basic and small but enough! Maria cleaned the room and bathroom if needed .
Activities around: we enjoy the swimming pool, went for a day trip with their son to see waterfall and do tubing . only 30 000cop having nice discussions with them and playing with little Carolina was also à good activity :)
You can stay 1 week there. Speaking spanish is better to have discussions with them. Otherwise other tourists will translate for...
