Gaelia Beach — Hotel in Magdalena

We took a chance on this place and were a little nervous because of how few review there were, but we were attracted to the fact that it was right on the beach and villas looked beautiful. I am so glad we trusted our gut and went with it.

This was my best stay throughout my entire trip in Colombia. It felt well-secluded (almost hard to find). Right on the beach. 2 villas with 4 rooms total on the property, which was perfect to get away from people. There's no restaurant on-site, but there is one right next door, and you can use their pool too. There are a few others within 10 minutes of walking. I got one of the best massages of my life while listening to the soothing sound of the waves.

I want to give a huge shout out to our host, Juan David. He was amazing. After a long day of travel, his tone was tranquil and he was so nice and helpful. He helped us navigate our plans for Tayrona and made all of our transportation arrangements. He taught us about Colombia and we had great conversations with him. By the end of our trip, he felt like a friend.

I don't say this about many places, but I hope to return to this...

Gaelia needs more reviews! Juan David was a friendly host, and the 4 rooms are beautifully designed and furnished while being ON the beach. Having access to the neighboring pools and restaurants while staying in this private hotel was even better than we expected.
