Arrival 7pm without spanish-knowledge wasn‘t easy, some spain-spoken guys helped me. No electricity last night ( 6.00-9.15pm ), but cold, but thawing beer in small supermarket 👍💪😊. Night was silent, tiered, and really enjoyed. Unfortly after 25km hike next day, they refurbished or built new pavement next market. An 50years old Generator and cement mixer, combined with 3 different bar‘s and really loud music, 200m away) was too much. No silent, local busy, so i returned back to Minca Centro and afterwards by latest Bus ( 6pm !!). Also minimum 30min far away from Minca up to 800hm more....(mototaxi). Also a long construction road site on the way, only possible with mototaxi. 15.000COP is already enough.... Driver wants 30.000 and also the young guys from the residence told 30k CPO. (definitely too much for 10 Kilometers by mototaxi). No mosquito net in every room 👎

This is the perfect place if you're looking for the calmness and the sound of the nature (which I love). I felt really comfortable there. I do also received nice attention. I stayed one night in the bungalow number 7. It was weird for me because there it was 7 or 6 beds and I booked a twin bed but was OK. They sell also nice and tasty food... If you're vegetarian they cook something for you. There's also a little cold waterfall, but you need to be in the mood for walking around 45 minutes, as I did. This hostel is 8 Km from Minca. To reach it you paid 20.000 pesos and the same amount to go to Minca and from there 8.000 to Santa Marta (25.02.2020) I invite you to follow me on instagram @artloverphotos ❤️

I spent a week here and loved it. The hosts were so kind and knew everything about the area. El Campano is a lovely and safe and friendly little town with an excellent restaurant and store. I was there for the mass and celebration of Nuestra Señora del Monte Carmelo, Virgen del Carmen and it was lovely to feel part of the town. You have easy access to Los Pinos, Cerro Kennedy, quick hike to Sierra Minca, and the road up is fully paved giving easy access to Minca as needed. I'll be back for sure.
