Palmarío Beach House — Hotel in Magdalena

Great location and ok facilities, though some windows don't fully close so lots of bugs. However, the real thing that ruined the trip was the manager, Marisol. She consistently tried to overcharge us and add extra costs. After double booking us when we extended our stay in the other hostel that she manages, she tried to sell us a much more expensive room for a long time before admitting to the mistake (which she was forced to do when the other people arrived). Then, she asked us repeatedly not to sit in the chairs on the deck (which are for customers) so as not to ruin the aesthetic for new customers. The lower level staff, especially Lady, were however a delight and stayed late to check us in on...

The place is amazing. It's located on the beach so you have the best view. Perfect place to disconnect as you only have electricity 3 hours a day. In this hostel you can relax, perfect stop after some more hectic places. Though if you like, there are always parties available 15 minutes walk away. Marysol is great host with incredible hospitality. Even though the waves in the sea can be pretty rough, next to the hostel there is a river, where people are swimming. I can recommend this hostel...

This is an amazing Casita, we had private toilet room and a comfortable bed in front of the sea view. We had a beautiful balcony with a hammock to chill in front of the sea while in the room. The people are amazingly nice and helpful! I was sick and they took care of me so kindly! They also have a really yummy restaurant next door with very good local foods! Really...
