❤😆😊🌺🌈🏡Let me start by saying that this adorable establishment they are calling a "Finca" is EASILY the equivalent of a 5-star B&B.
Rest assured that the photos you see here, ARE a TRUE depiction of this wonderful Finca. These WORDS cannot begin to express the feeling you'll experience when you stay here. We are looking forward to our next trip very soon.
ALSO, & rather important . . . once you turn off the main road to get to this Finca, you go up a short hill and the road then becomes rather sketchy going down. Rest assured, CONTINUE down this road . . . the Finca will be on your left, & through the nice metal gate and you will reach Shangri-La.
Everywhere you look, to INCLUDE our cottage, the furnishings are absolutely adorable and seem to be antique/vintage AND homey.
We reserved a private little cottage right down from the main dining area. But, just down the stairs from this Cottage, is a larger cottage that includes a sauna and a small refrigerator, with THE MOST amazing views & nice wraparound balcony. We are looking forward to this cottage on our next trip
They seem to have specific hours & close at 10:30 pm. We however took much longer than anticipated to get there, we were in constant contact with them. They were so gracious, not only waited for us to get there but helped us to get settled in.
After we arrived, Madrid came and offered us some of his own personally blended TEA.
Let me tell you, do NOT pass up this tea. Even if you are not a Tea lover, his Tea, this miraculous blend that he has concocted, will take you to another space and time. At first it was served lukewarm. But I prefer mine rather hot and it was even more awesome. I actually tried to buy some and take it with us, but to my dismay . . . it was not available.
We were thrilled to see the quality of the fixtures. Every detail is immaculate. In some OTHER establishments, you will see less then enjoyable things such as the showerheads or the faucets showing displays of rust or calcium deposits. Sometimes these fixtures are not even upscale . . . NOT here.
Yes, they have hot water readily available in the showers. Which I might add, OUR The shower was HUGE.
There was plenty of storage available & a cute little sofa to rest on. The bed had more than ample blankets. The linens provided in the bathroom are so thick and luxurious. As they strive to provide a "tranquil" environment, the only TV you will find is in the "Tranquility" area which is next to the dining area.
The breakfast consists of eggs (either fresh fried eggs or a beautiful scrambled Quiche), fresh fruit AND what turned out to be a "corn 🌽 pancake" & awesomely delicious - our first morning there we thought this was a different type of arepa. You can also asked to have your meal outside at the table.
If you would like the vegetarian dinner that they offer, be sure to get your name on the list and this is also an additional charge. Let me also add that there is nothing really available anywhere close to this finca to obtain meals or food. So be sure to get any food items that you would like before you return to the Finca, keeping in mind that there are NO refrigerator facilities except in that one cottage. They do have menus of places that will deliver food. They let them in & they come straight to your room.
Madrid had vouchers available to a beautiful thermal waterpark. We actually had planned to go to a different thermal waterpark which was the main reason for our visit to Manizales. But when we drove past this one it was just TOO beautiful to pass up. Let me also add that Madrid can give you instructions on how & the best way, to get ANYWHERE.
If you can fit it into your schedule, try & spend some time at the table over under the Canopy area. The views are just amazing and it is so tranquil.
If you venture down the stairs you will find an atrium full of beautiful birds and continuing further down you will find it beautiful Koa pond and Lanai type seating area with even more AMAZING views.

Read moreWe booked our accommodation here only for two days initially but we fell in love with this place immediately as soon as we arrived. Therefore we extended another two nights here. The owner Amadin and his team have made this place very cosy, stylish and spotless and everything works like a clock with magnificent views. |You can spot species of birds, butterflies and bats here. There are lots of beautiful trees and plants around and you can walk down to see a little parakeet sentry, a koi fish pond and rabbits too. |Breakfast contains fresh fruits, fresh juice, eggs and bread and very nice coffee or tea. There are freshly picked bananas and mandarins from the garden daily in the fruit bowel which guests could help themselves. |Amadin is so kind, helpful and generous person, he helped a few of us booked the coffee tour and drove us to the coffee tour pick up point. |Our chalet has kitchenette where we could prepare some salads for our dinner, a blender too so we could make fresh pineapple juice. |I’m also falling in love with their two adorable dogs and a cat called Belinda. 😍 |It’s quite easy to get on any buses down the road to the Manizales city centre, costs 2,500 COP each journey. |We will come back to stay here again for longer time if we come to Colombia. It’s definitely a highlight...
Read moreWe stayed at Majid’s lovely property for 5 nights and had an exceptional and comfortable stay. From the start Majid made us feel welcome, especially after we arrived very late after a long delay of our bus due to a road block. He prepared us a very delicious vegetarian dinner. On subsequent nights Majid prepared us healthy vegetarian meals which we greatly appreciated and enjoyed. We also welcome to use his kitchen too. The view is spectacular from the property and the location 4km outside of Manizales is ideal and preferable to staying in the centre of the city. The garden is full of birds and wildlife. The cabins are very private and comfortable. Majid took us on two walks during our stay which we greatly enjoyed he treated us more like a friend than just simply guests. Needless to say we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend his property if you want to stay in...
