Located right on the edge between the city and the countryside, this spot offers a blend of comfort and nature. Access is through a narrow street. It borders a natural area with uneven terrain, making it perfect for an interesting walk. The short trails here are full of life, you’ll find a wide variety of birds, butterflies, and unique plants. Although you can still hear the lively sounds of the Colombian neighborhood in the distance, music, conversations, and the cheerful atmosphere, it doesn’t take away from the relaxing experience. The common areas are inviting, with a playground and verandas overlooking the garden and the surrounding landscape. Once you arrive, you’ll want to stay longer. Fresh drinking water is available at all times, which is a nice extra. The restaurant has a limited menu and hours, but the staff is very accommodating. If you ask in advance, they may be able to prepare something special for you, definitely worth checking when you arrive. What makes this place truly special are the hosts. They went above and beyond our expectations First of all this is a beautiful location with the most amazing garden including paths to walk along. Wonderful eye for detail in their decorations and how they set it all up. Second of all the staff was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately we had some food poisoning from a location before the staff were so helpful caring for us. Even making home made chicken soup! We spent 2 nights and a full day here (too sick to leave), and I actually enjoyed just hanging in the hammock and spotting the various birds come by. Definitely recommend this place for nature and bird lovers and people looking for a nice quiet place to stay. I heard a few people mention about the bathroom being separated from the room. Paraiso Verde is absolutely perfect. The staff are so friendly and have impeccable attention to detail. The bathrooms are spotless, there is hot water, the bedrooms are super cute and the beds are really comfortable. The lodge is truly situated in a paradise, minutes from the hustle and bustle of Manizales but virtually isolated from the noise since it's on the other side of a ridge. The food is excellent, they have filtered water available in a water cooler, and a great selection of amenities like beer, wine, and aguardiente available for purchase. They have hammocks to rest in on the porch, tables to work, outlets, free WiFi, and all with an absolutely breathtaking view of Manizales' green valley and mountains.
