Hotel La Cascada Cristalina — Hotel in Melgar

As the other reviews say, the hotel isn't maintained at all.

The shower didn't work when we arrived plus it doesn't have any shower-head, it's just a tube sticking out the wall.

We asked to change the bed sheets as it got full of light insects in the evening.

Swimming pool was full of dust. It's ok for the price we paid (58k COP) but other days the price is 100k or even 150k per night, which is totally not worth it.

The hotel was nearly empty, we asked a room with view on the river, the staff refused, they say only family rooms have view on the river, which is a lie as we saw a double bedroom with river view during the cleaning.

There is no restaurant service. Only bottle/can drinks are available. We asked for hot water, refused.

On a good side, it's a peaceful area with nice view...

This hotel sits just a few minutes outside of the business of Melgar. The pool and grounds are maintained very well. I know because I wake up early and the staff was always out there cleaning. My room was small, but very clean. This is not a 4 star resort, so expectations should be accordingly. They do have suites available, just not on the day I stayed. We ended up pulling in and asking if a room was available due to a fail at another hotel. This was an excellent find. Just what we needed. Breakfast was good, the price was even better (just under $3 USD for two of us). Across the street are some small tiendas that sell water at a lower price. I thought it was great. But I would not approach with superior expectations, just a good place to rest, enjoy the sun and visit...

Pésimo todo, definitivamente las fotos pueden con todo algunos detalles: La niña de la recepción supremamente grosera, se le preguntaba algo y nos dejaba hablando solos, en los muchos comentarios hablan de esto y aún no lo solucionan. Pésimo el servicio y el del muchacho que trabaja hay pésimo. Habitaciones sucias, cajones con cosas de huéspedes que dejan, cortan el agua, baños sin agua, cuando se les pregunto responden que usen el agua de la piscina para bañarse. ( La niña de la recepción no se si es la dueña pero pésima) Llegamos un viernes la piscina en mantenimiento desde las 8 am hasta el sábado 2 PM, estábamos con niños como es posible que no haya servicio de piscina en un hotel! Durante casi dos días? No venden nada, y mejor porque es supremamente sucio. Dicen que hay almuerzos, desayuno etc. Pésimo, solo venden helados. Cómo ven las fotos hay río, no es como parece, es un río contaminado huele horrible, hay basura, moscos, etc. Y aparte el hotel ayuda a la suciedad, por detrás de la piscina dejan toda la basura del hotel, Los baños cerca a la piscina sucios, los lavamanos sucios Y para completar las instalacione en mal estado, las mesas dañadas. Definitivamente NUNCA volvería y NO NO lo...
