Hostal la cabaña — Hotel in Meta

Cabañas el Atajó is a fantastic little hidden gem just 2 blocks away from the main square of Mesetas and even better, it's situated next to the river. It's the closest to a hostel you can find in Mesetas with plenty of communal space and popular with the backpackers. Because of some large trees on the property, many birds visit like parrots and toucans.

We stayed in the wooden cabaña which was great. It had a fridge, fan (more than enough) and a small TV which we didn't use. The beds were comfortable, we slept like sloths.

The very friendly owner is a bit of an artist and collector of antiques and memorabilia so the place looks like a little museum and out of the ordinary.

Recommend this hostel in the lovely town of Mesetas! A very chill place next to the river, with a well-equipped kitchen and both dorms and private cabins. J'ai passé 6 nuits chez Elberto et je ne peux que recommander cet hostal. Tout m'a plu alors que je suis extrêmement exigeante. L'hostal est idéalement situé proximité du centre mais au calme et à proximité du rio. Possibilité d'y accéder via un chemin depuis la cabana. Que de mieux pour se relaxer qu'entendre le bruit du cours de l'eau et des oiseaux. Niveau décoration tout est à base de recyclage mais savamment organisé et avec bon goût. Niveau chambre, la mienne était simple mais propre, lit confortable, moustiquaire, salle d'eau privative et ventilateur ( important). Accès à une petit cuisine avec l'essentiel pour se faire à manger. Sinon possibilité de manger à l'extérieur. Petit coin également pour nettoyer ses habits. Concernant l'hôte, il a été d'une grande aide pour me permettre de se découvrir cette région en individuelle. Il est extrêmement arrangeant et prodigue de bons conseils. Vraiment un sans faute.
