We were received like family by the finca´s owner Dolly and her staff, who greeted us with a glass of freshly pressed mandarin juice. The gardener later took us round the grounds and showed us all the fruits and vegetables they grow, and spend around an hour explaining everything, with great enthusiasm, for free. It was off season so we got two rooms for the price of one, there is a lovely pool and the breakfast was a good portion, with lots of flexibility for your wishes. ||They also helped us with an excellent driver who took us to el Valle de Cocura and Salento for the day. He charged us 180.000 cop (cheap) for the whole day which included stopping everywhere we wanted, accommodating us in everything we wished, and driving us to the airport at the end of the day (Fernando Jiménez, cel 3113280806). ||||What really added to the experience was the restaurant Sortílegio (also a small hotel) next door to the finca which they recommended to us, this is run by an extremely polite and talented chef named Javier Baena Angel (speaks great english) who gave us an evening to remember. The restaurant is an open brick tower with a watch tower at the top where you see the whole countryside, and can choose to have your dinner.
