Staying here for 2 nights, just feeling like there was no-one around for miles. The finca just gave that sense of isolation and beauty. Though you weren't that far from all that civilisation! Actually only about 30 minutes from Armenia and then down this long hedged lane to get there.||Once were here, everything was perfect. It is only small that makes it very intimate. Our room had everything you needed and you just stepped out into this lovely garden and serenity! Tv, air conditioning, hot water and good water pressure!||Viviana who looks after the place does it all, as well as the cooking and cleaning! Breakfast was lovely sitting out on the patio and our plan included dinner which was always tasty. When we were there, her sister was there to help her for a couple of days.||There was also a beautiful sitting room to sit and just enjoy the evening. The house is made of bamboo so some of the outer walls were slatted with bamboo which was really effective!||Has a lovely outdoor pool which we actually were disappointed we didn't get to use as so busy looking around the area, so much to do there!||We saw heaps of birds and the resident cat got a few snacks from us! I also received a little bag for keepsake on leaving - a wonderful gesture!...
Read moreWe only stayed a night but I would have loved to have spent a week! Finca La Negrita was excellent! The rooms were so adorable, cute and most importantly they were clean. We went for a walk around the grounds. We walked in a coffee field, a banana plant forest, sugar cane and even a small bamboo type of forest. We picked fresh oranges from the trees and tried to soak in all of the beautiful scenery. We watched the sun set behind the mountains as we sat around the pool area. ||||The rooms were perfect. TV, clean linens, comfortable beds and the breakfast with coffee was exceptional. So was the staff! ||||We lounged around in the hammock and listened to the birds and nature all around. We loved that the La Negrita is tucked far away from the busy street. It is way way down the road.||||Truly I loved this place. One of the best bed and breakfast places I have ever been!||||PS - Cat...
Read moreI was with my family and boyfriend at the beggining of September. La Negrita is exactly how it looks in the photos of their site, really beautiful and a pleasant place to rest. I would recommend the readers to stay there if you have (or rent) a car (is a bit far from the main road), as is extremely close to Armenia and the coffee park by car. It is sort of ecohotel (but I think is not advertised as such), so keep in mind that their idea is to protect the nature and save water. One of the best things of La Negrita is perhaps the service provided by Beatriz, one of La Negrita's employees. She has great culinary skills (everyday our breakfast was amazing!). Don't miss the Arepa!! Make sure to chat with her every time you can, she really makes you...
