Parque del Sol Hotel — Hotel in Montería

Monteria, as the capital of the "state" of Cordoba is a large sprawling city of about 1 million people. It has plenty of nice restaurants, nightlife, malls and hotels. The Parque Del Sol is one of the good ones. It's in a great location - with almost everything one could be looking for within a 5-10 minute walk. The staff is very friendly. All of the front desk staff spoke some English, which although not necessary is always nice to know. My room 306 was very large on the front of the hotel with lots of windows. A large bathroom and fabulous shower stall, too. The bed was perfect and the linens of excellent quality. A great overall stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a nice variety of fruit plus almost everything one might want was available when asked. ||||Why not 5 -stars. Well, to be honest it was the noise from the club next store (or across the street) that was thumping and pumping it's bass until the sun came up on a Saturday night. It didn't keep me up but, it did not contribute to the good night's sleep I was hoping to get. I still highly recommend Hotel Parque Del Sol if one is staying...

Very nice upscale hotel. Very commercial/ business atmosphere but all the luxuries you could expect of a high end hotel. Located in zona rosa with diverse restaurant selection. Maybe not the best if you are more interested in seeing a cultural side of Montería, and not close to the park on the Sinú, but within a reasonable taxi distance. The hotel is very pleasant and cozy, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is varied, delicious, and plentiful.
