GHL Hotel Aeropuerto Cali — Hotel in Palmira

It is rather hidden away on the second floor down a long hall but there is a hotel right in the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón airport (Cali). I have stayed there every year since 2001. They have been slow in coming but there have been gradual improvements over the years. Fans have been replaced by efficient air conditioning and now all rooms come with hot water showers. The furniture is old but the beds are comfortable and there is a mini fridge in all rooms.The staff is accommodating and friendly. Despite being an airport hotel the price is no more than a mid range hotel in the city. It is an ideal option if you get in very late on your flight or if you live far from the airport and have to catch an early flight out. First of all the AC in the room was not turned on. It took over 2 hours for the room to cool down because it was 90 degrees outside. You would think that with a room that was prepaid and non-refundable they would turn on the AC BEFORE the guests checked in so they would be comfortable. The curtains on the window were falling off of the curtain rods. The window shades they had behind the curtains as well as the curtains were far too short to keep out all of the bright lights at night and were also hanging half off of the rods. No furniture in the room. Not even a chair or a closet or anywhere to hang up clothes. The only thing in the room was a queen size bed. In the bathroom the shower had very low water pressure and the nozzle was filthy. Bathroom sink was lose on the wall as well as the shower curtain rod. Toilet had a cheap very old...
