Clean enough, and the toilet had a seat (hey, that's a bonus in the Andes), but the location is terrible. It's very close to the bus station, but it's a US$2 ride to anything interesting, and people all over Pasto told us how bad the neighborhood is. We were stuck in Pasto for five days due to a strike that blocked the highways north, and decided to move hotels so we could be in a safer and more interesting/convenient place.||||The guys at the desk were nice. The beds were really hard (I like a firm bed, but these were rocks), and the laundry service was really expensive. The wifi was hard to get from anywhere but the hallway that the router was in, but there wasn't anywhere to sit to use it.||||BTW, reservations in Pasto are not all that necessary - we were worried that all the hotels would be full due to travelers like us getting stuck, but there are so many hotels here (especially budget ones) that don't have a web presence, there was no...

Me he alojado en múltiples ocasiones, ya que soy comerciante y viajo constantemente la ciudad de Pasto.||Orgullosamente soy ecuatoriana, y he recorrido la ciudad en busca de un buen hotel, que a la final encontré al Hotel Venecia. ||He recibido una excelente atención, el personal del hotel es muy atento y siempre se preocupan desde un comienzo por hacerme sentir cómoda. Me colaboran guardando la mercancía, y me hasta me la han cargado al parqueadero, con mucha amabilidad, procurando que no se maltrate mi mercancía.||Las habitaciones son cómodas, con buena tv, los baños son muy aseados, que es lo mas importante, las camas tienen la firmeza que se requiere para el cuidado de la columna, ya que me había hospedado en otros hoteles con colchones muy suaves, y lo único que conseguí fue amanecer con dolor de espalda, y siendo extrajera, imposible de ser atendido por el seguro.||El restaurante es amplio, con variedad en la carta, los alimentos son bien preparados, y la comida es muy deliciosa.||Las instalaciones en general son muy aseadas, y el hotel tiene una buena capacidad para hospedar a mis hermanos ecuatorianos, ya que sabemos que este hotel tiene buenas cualidades, y es muy económico; porque si lo comparamos con otros hoteles, tendríamos que gastar dinero en transporte, y la ventaja es que el Hotel Venecia está cerca del terminal.||Aprovecho esta oportunidad para ofrecer una disculpa de parte de mis hermanos ecuatorianos, ya que en varias ocasiones he mirado como nuestro comportamiento no ha sido el mejor, nos hemos aprovechado de la moneda que manejamos y yo he sido testiga de como huéspedes han gritado, insultado, maltratado y humillado al personal del hotel Venecia.||Gracias a Dios son pocos los hermanos que han procedido de esta manera, y en este momento, se ha generado una consecuencia adversa para nosotros, ya que en los hoteles y almacenes como Alkosto, nos hemos comportado de una forma humillante, generando rechazo en algunos sectores de Pasto.||En estos momentos, nos han puesto mas trabas para regresar a Colombia y poder hacer nuestras compras, afectándonos en nuestros negocios.||Por eso, invito a mis hermanos ecuatorianos que recuerden que Ecuador y Colombia somos hermanos, y debemos ayudarnos.||Gracias al Hotel Venecia, por aguantarnos y por tratarnos siempre con...

5-7 minute walk from the bus terminal makes it perfect for the 1 night people on their way to/from Ecuador. Numerous hotels in that area. It's not an upscale neighborhood but we had no problem and did not feel unsafe at any time. At 30,000COP there is no reason to complain about anything.||||BTW...the bus ride from Popayan to Pasto was another world class scenic delight. But all mountain road so it's a slow good with lots of twists and turns.||||This lodging was great for us!
