Hotel Monchuelo Spa San Gil — Hotel in Pinchote

Cute hotel for our 3 night stay in San Gil. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived late (11:30pm) and was hungry so the front desk guy helped order food via his app. Our American phone numbers didn’t work with Rappi, their food delivery app. The room was spacious, had a mini fridge which kept our drinks nice and cold. The bed was comfortable. The shower head could have been updated to have better water pressure but hey, I was able to shower and not in freezing water. The pool was nice, we spent time by the side as there was tables and they put on music to listen to. There’s also drinks to buy and free water/coffee on the side. The spa was amazing! we booked the hotel with breakfast included and when we arrived they said it was not included, and that we should pay every breakfast. Air conditioning was broken and finally we handled to change our room. the next day a group of 60 people arrived to hotel at 4 am and were totally loud during the next 2 hours doing their check in, we called the lobby 3 times to complain about the noise and that the people were knocking our door because they thought it was theur friends, but they didn't do anything. afterwards at breakfast time they didn't wanted to serve us because they were gonna take care of the big group. totally disappointed, i suggest people to go to other hotels in San Gil. this one...

I am truly sorry to be leaving a negative review here because all the staff, including the cleaning ladies, are WONDERFUL and they'd truly deserve 5 stars. But unfortunately the hotel is tired, old and would benefit from a full and deep renovation. Room was small-ish but at least A/C was in working order. Mouldy ceilings, TV wouldn't work, WIFI worked like 30 mins and disconnected for the following 30 and so on..., room's curtains had dead insects stuck on them, shower was warm at most (but most of times just cold) and the water flow was like the one you'd get from a hose.||Swimming pool not inviting,...
