I planned this trip with my wife in December 2024 for a stay in May 2025. From the beginning, communication from the hotel was misleading and incomplete. While we were already in Bogotá, a hotel representative contacted me to ask what time we would be arriving. I said 5 p.m., and was told everything was fine.||||Upon arriving in Armenia, I was suddenly informed that the road to the hotel was blocked and that the rental car we picked up (via Localiza) couldn’t make it there. The hotel offered to send a jeep to pick us up—but told us we'd be charged for the return. This was extremely uncomfortable, as we were relying on our car to explore the area, not just stay confined to the hotel.||||While driving toward the hotel, another staff member told me the road was passable. But just five minutes before arriving, I was told again that it was impossible to continue and that we’d need to wait for the jeep… in the rain, at night. After 20 minutes, I received another call: the second road had also been blocked by a landslide, and we would not be picked up after all.||||That’s when I searched online and discovered the town had been under red alert for days due to ongoing landslides. A hotel staff member even told me a landslide had hit the hotel itself, trapping several workers. We were forced to find shelter in the village, where we could hear residents crying out that a nearby mountain had collapsed, destroying homes, animals, and possibly lives. The entire village was in a state of panic.||||The next morning, with the help of the local police, we managed to carefully drive down the mountain—windows open, listening for falling rocks, as new landslides were expected at any moment.||||The most outrageous part? That same morning, the hotel called me again saying the road was being cleared and that we could come up later that day. I couldn’t believe they were still trying to bring guests into a disaster zone. I told them to stop playing with people’s lives and to shut down operations immediately.||||Only after that conversation did I receive an official message announcing the temporary closure of the hotel "for the safety of guests".||||To this day, the hotel has provided no serious apology, no refund, and no real support—only the excuse that “management is evaluating your case”. This is absolutely unacceptable.||||I’m sharing this review so that no one else has to experience what we went through. This is not just poor hospitality—it’s outright negligence. Do not stay here. Your safety is not...

Coming from USA, this hotel was a disappointment. Just for looks. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that all they care about is money, this kind of management is completely unacceptable. This place is a scam, and if they continue with this attitude, they won’t last long in the business. DELES PENA!
This hotel is very poorly located in the mountains of Buenavista, terrible access and safety concerns which they do NOT tell you. VERY UNSAFE and dangerous narrow “roads”. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive up a non paved, poorly maintained with barely enough room for a single vehicle, and there are no guardrails or proper signage / Este hotel está muy mal ubicado en las montañas de Buenavista, con un acceso terrible y graves problemas de seguridad que NO te informan.
We booked and paid in full 2 months in advance for the cabin “AMAR” for 2 nights with breakfast included. The cabin was INFESTED with insects, especially the bed. I understand and consider that this hotel is in the nature surrounding mountains of Quindio Colombia, however the conditions we experienced is completely unacceptable. We started asking for help 3 different times at 8:30pm and each “solution” the staff gave, was INSUFFICIENT and not a priority to them. It was about 11:30pm and we were concerned, stressed and not satisfied. We asked to be moved to a different cabin or suite in order to get some SLEEP. Unfortunately, that was not an option and we ended up getting NO REST and “sleeping” with insects on our long awaited vacation. The next day, staff “offered” us to switch with another couple which they admitted they lied to about the conditions of our room. We ended up leaving 1 day early and loosing our money for the 2nd night and breakfast and to no surprise , they did not refund us… they only “compensated” us with a dinner.
We got to experience 1 dinner during our stay. And just like every other review, everything we wanted on the menu was not available at the time… ( it was 4:30 pm ) which is absolutely ridiculous considering their very overhyped restaurant.

Read moreI recently stayed at La Cima, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience! The breathtaking views from the hotel are truly a sight to behold; every morning, I woke up to a stunning landscape that made my stay unforgettable. 🇨🇴
The accommodations are impeccable—Our bedroom was not only clean but also well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
One of the highlights of my mornings was the delicious breakfast served at the hotel. There was a great variety of options, all fresh and flavorful, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead.
Additionally, the hotel’s location is fantastic, being just a stone's throw away from the incredible San Alberto coffee farm experience. The hotel also offers different activities like horse riding and massages which we had and it was very relaxing.
Overall, La Cima is a gem in Colombia for anyone looking to relax and connect with nature while enjoying all the comforts of a well-appointed hotel. I can't...
