This place is awesome. It is a family owned farm in a beautiful setting. ||||We rented one of the three cabins they have -- ours was maybe 50 yards from the main building towards the mountains. It was very clean and well maintained - they even folded our clothes that we left out of our suitcases one afternoon. The beds were super comfortable - big and extra pillows and blankets provided (it can get chilly at night). And the cabin was spacious - it even had a hot tub outside (which we didn't get a chance to use). ||||The breakfast was delicious - they even had vegan options. The owner himself drove us to Cocora one morning. Everyone else who worked there was super helpful and nice - they gave us tips on how to hike Cocora properly and which coffee farms to visit. Getting in and out of here is pretty easy. A taxi or willy jeep can easily drive you to/from. Overall, very peaceful and comfortable. Highly...
Read moreThe hotel is an ancient country house. It exists since some 100 years ago. Before it became a hotel, it was just a very big cow ranch. Today, the two activities, hotel and ranch, are mixed, and hosts can milk in the morning; after that, drink a cup of coffee from the region and take a big and delicious breakfast with colombian exotical fruits and milk of the same place. ||The hotel is located fifteen minutes from Salento and five minutes from the entrance to the Cocora's valley. Near to the hotel, there are some beautifull waterfalls.||The service is excellent. Even if you arrive to Salento and don't have a lot of informations about the village, farms and trekking plans, you will be oriented by the hotel staff about the activities and you will be helped to schedule the...
Read moreThis hotel will stay in our memories forever. If you like nature and being on a farm there is no better place. We had a cabin and walking to it at night in a cloud of fireflies mad it all so enchanting. Then in the morning heading to the farm area and helping with the cows was just fun. One of the cows had given birth during the night so it was even a little extra special. The three dogs in the main house are all friendly and give the whole place even more character, not to mention the cat that loves people. The room was nice although with great cracks in the wall (which doesn't matter in this area of the world, but still needed to get used to it). The best was so comfortable we just enjoyed lying in the bed and watching the view during a thunderstorm. Absolutely...
