Acantilado de la Tierra — Hotel in Saint Andrew

Checked in on Monday June 10th, Wednesday they asked me if they could clean the room, said yes.Thursday i went to reception, told the lady in charge that i dont need anything, no one should enter my room,and put a no disturb sign. At 1030 driver came to pick me up to go to the beach, and asked in front of reception that still confirm to pick up from the beach. Returned , showered , had taken a ziplock bag with credit card and Pesos. When i checked my bag,my Wallet was comletely empty, 400 US Dollars and 800000 Colombian Copas were stolen. Asked to call the manager police, manager said she will be ther next morning. Police said i will have to go to the Police station next day.4 people working there were at the desk. They knew i was gone all day and i was leaving the next day.Manager said she will look into it, they have videos of who entered the room. Inspite of me specifically asking not to enter the room, it eas half cleaned in a hurry.Next day after getting shuttled to 3 places, a guy said, that if ia m lucky i will get someone to talk to around 4 or5 if not the next day.I had to be on a flight at 3 PM, so had to leave.Police, manager employees all knew i was leaving on Friday, so they picked Thursday for the robbery.Talked to manager every day on Whatsapp, she finally said she has...

Ok first & foremost this is the first time something like this happens to me with a hotel & I travel a lot! I found this hotel on a travel blog and decided to book it despite reading reviews that previous guests have complained about the hotel canceling on them before arrival. What’s crazy is, we got an email confirmation saying it was booked and nothing else was needed. The night before our scheduled check in we got an email confirmation that they had cancel our reservation!!! This is exactly what I had read in the previous reviews and now the day of our supposed check in we have to go through the inconvenience of finding a new hotel. My aunt and I stayed in this hotel during my visit to San Andrés, Colombia. We planned out three nights but didn’t realize how remote the location would be and how far from the shopping center. We were told this is typically a honeymooners spot which made a lot of sense. The hotel staff changed us to one of their other hotels directly in the center to accommodate our interests to explore easier. My experience at this spot was wonderful. The food was pricey but they live off tourism so I can’t complain. It was worth it, so delicious and the pineapple juice they offer is one of the best I’ve ever had.
